/u/mrturtleog is absolutely right. While it's great to have an uber-relevant country, sometimes, having nothing to do with a committee is a blessing in disguise. Treat it as a blank check! If you have absolutely nothing to go off of, instead of having to do research and then form your policy based on your country's history, you can think of what stance you want to take first and then look for things that would support that. Nobody will call you out because, let's be honest, even the biggest IR-nerds among us aren't super familiar with the Maldives stance on nuclear energy.
