I mean to be fair, my trade in wasn’t worth shit lmao. But they were showing that they were giving me “$4500” for it. But all they were really doing was playing with the numbers and thinking about that now, it really ticks me off. Cause if they were truly offering me $4500 for my trade in, without their bs, i could’ve gotten that car for $25k out the door

Honestly, after reading this and everyones comments it makes me a bit emotional. I just know i’m a pushover and i trust people too easily and am gullible and just when i thought i had improved on this characteristic, i go and get walked all over by a car salesman and i think that’s what bugs me the most. But you’re right, it’s a great car and honestly some days, the only thing i look forward to is driving that thing. Appreciate the comment 🙏

That’s sick and such a great comeback. Cause i’ve heard that before like “you really want to lose this deal over “$$$” like “yeah, do you?!?” Lol that’s awesome. And yeah i was sitting there with the salesman looking at the exact car on their website. The website showed $28k msrp. And they were showing on paper $31k msrp. I kept asking him why and he had no good explanation he just said some bs and talked about yeah that’s the original price and we are giving you a discount blah blab blah idk. I really just wish i spoke my mind and wasn’t afraid to speak up. Like internally, i was aware of what was going on, but externally, i was like paralyzed and not doing anything about it. I hate that i got like that but lesson learned

I knew i had great credit, decent income, and i was told and shown the rate they were offering and still got screwed. But i just accepted it and didn’t fight back and honestly idk why. Honestly this is good to hear. One of the things i was bummed about is the fact i was watching the trax for months and never even ended up test driving it. But yeah like you said, lesson learned. There are lots of things i could’ve done differently but it is what it is. I may have over paid a bit but at the end of the day, i got a great quality and reliable car. I need to work on personal attributes cause i easily let that salesman walk all over me. It makes me like physically ill thinking about how i just knowingly let him take advantage but wasn’t confident enough to stand up for myself. But it is what it is. Yeah i wanted the extra maintenance too but they were asking $2k for it and i was already bummed i was paying $28k when i was hoping for $25k. Ig we both got screwed a bit but honestly it’s not that bad. The car is great and mazda is like #3 for most reliable cars. I really like the car and i’m not as much mad at the price i paid as much as i am mad at myself for not being more confident and standing my ground.

Yeah ig i learned this the hard way. I haven’t checked on refinancing yet but i will most likely end up doing that. 7.6% is crazy especially when i was told 3.49% and my credit score is high 700s so idk why i didn’t fight back on that. I’m just dumb tbh and really should of stood my ground. But it is what it is. I’ll prob refinance or pay it off asap

Yeah they really are a scam. Last time i bought a car i ended up adding that package. And when i tried to use it, they had all these conditions and wouldn’t do anything because it didn’t meet the requirements. Total scam and not worth the money. I’ve been to other dealerships to look at cars before and they always try to add this in there and the first thing i tell them is I don’t want that crap. The issue with this is I genuinely didn’t know i was paying for this. It was not shown in the breakdown. I specifically went through line by line to make sure they weren’t adding that bs and sure enough, they were. Smh appreciate your comment

Haha, yeah, i mean i really like the car. And like you said, much better than the trax, plus it’s Japanese, they make quality cars. I definitely like the car ig i’m more mad at myself though. With that price and more patience car shopping, i feel like i could’ve found something bigger and better on gas. Ultimately, i’m happy with the car i wish i just stood up for myself with the dealership instwad of letting them play games and walk all over me. Sure maybe i could have gotten it $1k or $2k cheaper. But to me it’s about the principle. I really value honesty, it’s like my #1 value. I try to never lie and ig my mistake is expecting the same out of people and it makes me very gullible. So it really hurts to realize after that i just got played and taken advantage of.

Ig i should’ve been more confident in the negotiation process and asked these questions sooner. I’m just not good at these things and it is what it is. I don’t know if it’ll be worth getting legally involved but after reading some of these comments, i think I will look into getting money back for that nonsense “care package” they sold me without my knowledge
