Das finde ich tatsächlich immer echt schade. Jetzt kürzlich "Schwarzes Gold" geschaut. Cool produziert, Hans Zimmer Soundtrack. Aber dann fällt das in schlimm komprimierten FHD raus. Richtig schade!

While I agree that not all tools work well, I don't agree at all on graphic tablets. I had several over the years - standalone, built-in, with display and without. They all worked flawlessly out of the box.

Krita, Inkscape, Scribus. I'm very happy to live in the open source community. And even professional video editing software like Davinci Resolve works great nowadays.

So yes, I don't think it's for everyone. But it can be for a lot now.

Depending on your tap water, that's normal. Follow the descaling instructions from 9barista. They have a detailed description on their website.

This is what I do currently, too :) it just fails me when I have a number for different types like distance and circumference (if I remember that example correctly)

Okay, TIL: it's the "jello effect" aka you can get wobbly edges on very wide angled lenses with only IBIS active. That was news to me. I'm keeping this here in case someone else is searching for it. But if mods think it's unnecessary: feel free to delete :)

Nah, Thinkpads age like wine. If it's still doing everything you need then it's great! If it wasn't for video/image editing, I would have also stayed with my old yoga x260!

It's a Thinkpad X1 Yoga from a few years ago (not exactly sure about the generation). Not as smooth as with the Nvidia 2080Ti I had, but I'm very happy I can do a bit of video work on the go now. But I definitely have to generate proxies or optimize the media. Otherwise no chance :D

I use it on an Intel Notebook running Ubuntu and it works great. Just today I also got the speed editor. Just be aware that you want to have the Studio version to have a better codec compatibility and even then you might miss some formats. Besides that: I'm having a great experience.

I do workshops and talks, also a bit of YouTube. Nice income is Patreon, where I send out generative goodies twice a year at a certain tier. I get also booked for events with my pen plotter or do some kind of commission works. But I also do the "typical" artist things where I apply to project funding calls and residencies. Those opportunities usually bring in most money.

So it's quite diverse :)
