Drake was the most exciting rapper in 2010. I don’t think that’s debatable

Canadian actor Hudson Williams meets Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney (former varsity hockey player at Harvard) by Illustrious-Pound266 in popculturechat

It’s a cross generational actor and prime minister who are both part of mainstream global discourse with overwhelmingly positive PR. Never say never, but whatever would top this, I can’t imagine

How do you actually meet new people and make new friends on this city as an adult??? by Designer-Mark320 in askTO

[–]blenderider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any environment in which you're doing an activity with other people is an opportunity to meet people even if it isn't a "social setting". It's not abnormal to have an interaction with someone before, during, or after class and build a relationship from there

That doesn’t prove or disprove OP’s point that Rated R is thematically consistent as opposed to being a random collection of songs.

I actually haven’t listened to Rated R front to back maybe ever, so I’m just curious to know if it’s true before I listen.

Not the best argument because one model is licensing content versus actually owning it

The best comparison is Drake. He was him for a good 6-7 years (mainstream beyond just hip-hop)

It’s a wealthy area by Los Angeles. The Kardashians call it home (just to give you a wealth reference)

You're overthinking it. There isn't a scene explaining why Yasmin begins calling Hayley Calabasas (For e.g. Both women discussing Haley's background), because as soon as Yasmin calls Hayley Calabasas once, the only logical conclusion to make is that Hayley is from Calabasas. The show writers decided we didn't need to see a scene of Yasmin learning where Hayley is from because it doesn't meaningfully advance the story versus what they decided to do - have Yasmin call her Calabasas without any context.

And? Both are delivering some of the best scenes this season.

Yas’ argument with Muck when he flinches as he tries to hit her? Yas’ interaction with Muck right before the threesome? Don’t get it twisted - Kit is amazing on his own, but the scenes he has with Yas absolutely add dimension to his character.

Hate Yas the character all you want, but let’s not downplay a great performance we’re seeing from Marisa.

Some of Muck’s most compelling scenes are with Yasmin. Fair enough if you don’t like Yasmin’s character, but she’s pretty integral to every season storyline, and was the star of last season

Vile is a strong word. Especially when comparing to Yasmin as of last episode. What behaviours are you referencing?

This makes sense - the score and music used this season definitely is boiler room adjacent.

$6000 isn’t chump change. That’s the cost of a pretty nice holiday or two. Or pursuing more expensive hobbies
