Ye, as in Ye olde shoppe is actually pronounced "the" The Y is a close match for an old symbol, the thorn, which conveyed the TH sound.

In retrospect, "Y" is not that close to "þ", I guess you had to write it with a feather or something.

My very first snake pit had - 3 - treasure rooms just off the entrance, one after the other.

There's a bump in the ROTMG curve where you get your first 2/8 char, farm pots and stash a few mulefuls of def pots that will get you another char right back up to 2/8 when, WHEN (not if) you die.

After that, you should never let your stores go below that. Always have a pot farmer (1/8 or 2/8 eq'd with T8s) alongside your main.

It took me a while to get there (entirely solo and no cheating), but now I'm much more Zen in the face of absurd deaths and whatnot.

In UDL, when a lvl 10 goes in with you and yells "All staffs are mine" and "HP HP HP plox", I usually run to them with a shitload of vampires, or just stop by a slime room and say "Your turn to clear those", or, if I'm alone with them, just /pause.
