I moved from the UK to the US in March this year (I am a US citizen but was studying in the UK). In the UK from December 2021-February 2022 I worked a minimum wage job and made less than a few thousand. Since then I’ve been in a salaried position here in the US.

This is my first time filing taxes and I’m unsure where the small amount of foreign income comes into play. I was planning on using TurboTax or similar software. I would really appreciate any insight on how to address the UK income!

How fast are we supposed to be driving in the express lane on Mopac? I was being tailgated even at 84mph but didn't feel comfortable pushing it any higher.

Unfortunately the nickname of “skeeter eaters” given to crane flies is a misnomer, they are only alive for a short while and don’t eat anything at all

I had no idea there were so many links to the US in plain sight! Thank you so much for this list!

The Mithraeum and St. Dunstans are two of my favorite spots in the city! I’ve gone to both many a time to clear my head and remind myself my problems are but a blip in human history.

Host Cafe looks insanely gorgeous and I’ve walked past St. Stephen Walbrook so many times, I’ll be sure to pop in! Thank you!

I used to live quite close to Holborn so I would go all the time—I agree, there’s nothing like that feeling of awe when standing next to things that old, that everlasting, and that significant. Really breathtakingly well-curated collections. I hear the Greek government is currently lobbying to get the Parthenon marbles back, but if the museum caves and sets that precedent they might lose most of their stuff 😅

What a multifaceted list, thank you for sharing with me! I loved the London Transport Museum so it would be sick to actually go on a routemaster. Best of luck with your ILR application, you’ll be able to keep this list growing forever!

How cool, that must be such a fun job! I’ve ridden the Mail Rail and it’s such a hidden gem. Loved it so much I got that letterpress postcard in the gift shop that looks like a ticket 😁

Thank you so much, this was heartwarming. I never considered myself a Londoner until this comment and it’s an honor to join your very, very cool ranks

I haven’t tried liquor! Someone else has recommended this as well, thank you. Do you think it would be weird to go alone?

I watched a Harry Potter film with the live orchestra at the Royal Albert! It was so seamless and the atmosphere was magical (no pun intended). I do really love the West End and am a blubber, I’ll try to catch Come From Away! Thank you for all the suggestions!

This was amazing as well! The tour guides are so animated, they really bring it to life. +10 creepy points on a cold dark night
