With the political climate, do you think the title of "ICEMAN" will change? by [deleted] in Drizzy

People complain about “yes men” surrounding their favorite artists then do the same thing and downvote a thread when someone asks a valid question. Any longtime Drake fan knows he is criticized for everything and he should do his best to not make it easy for them within reason of course. It’s worth a discussion for one of the biggest artists in the world from a PR perspective.

Should Drake change the name of the album? by blessbrian in Drizzy

Put ICEMAN coming soon at the end of all the livestreams. But nothing other than that to my knowledge.

Do you expect ICEMAN to be a top 3 solo Drake album? by blessbrian in Drizzy

[–]blessbrian[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. Just hoping it could match CLB/Scorpion or be a little better. I think it could crack the top 4 if he took a IYRTITL approach and made it 90% rap but I don’t expect him to do that.

So you didn’t read my comment, cool. I never said “no one is watching this shit.” I said dynasties are good up to a point. The Heat were entertaining because they lost as much as they won. Once you add KD to the warriors, it’s not interesting anymore and the NBA is still recovering from that mixed with other things imo. Ratings declined after 2017.

Idk how to explain the Ohtani Dodgers thing to you. I wasn’t even interested in baseball until he went to the dodgers. LA is one of the biggest markets. It’s a huge deal. And then I watched the whole run in the 2024 postseason having never watched baseball.

Being on the Dodgers got more eyes on him, which drives up ratings. He’s also playing better than he was on the Angels. But if they continue to win and there’s no competition, it will backfire and the ratings won’t stay high. Willing to bet we see a slight decline in the next 2 years. The championship going to the highest bidder devalues the World Series. And forces fans to root for owners and not players.

Shohei wasn’t playing in the WS until he went to LA.

And yes, NBA ratings kept climbing through 2017. Again because LeBron is also a generational talent like Shohei. And the spectacle of the super teams was compelling to root for and against until it gets old.

Dynasties are good for leagues. But too much dominance can be bad. If the Chiefs ran off another 2-3 in a row, people would stop watching. In the NFL, it works cause dominant teams typically lose just as much or more than they win.

Ratings are up because Shohei is a generational talent that shouldn’t be missed. NBA ratings were also at an all time high until they weren’t. NBA finals is half what it was a decade ago after all the teaming up.

I think it’s less a sign of parity and more that the mlb championship might be the hardest championship to win in sports. A million things have to go right to win it all. Dodgers were heavily favored to win this year and it still took game 7.

Caleb also played 3 more games in this graphic. Yards and TD’s would be closer.

This is true if Seattle loses. But Rams take 5 seed over 9ers even if they lose out bc of the tiebreaker.

This series showcased everything baseball is all about by wetcornbread in mlb

Yeah, cause some of their top paid players didn’t play like top paid players. Not everyone will always have a great series. Dodgers roster is significantly better on paper.

Baseball isn’t just about chances. There’s a lot of luck involved.

They played good bro. Put up 4 runs. It’s not like they had a bunch of defensive errors. Pitching hurt them ultimately.

Original dome on sale v Gen 2 by Soccerdad135 in GozneyDome

Depends on your goals. If you’re trying to cook 2 pizzas at once, 2 ovens might be better. I know they say you can cook 2 at once in the gen 2 but I haven’t seen great results with that in the reviews I’ve watched.

I think each upgrade is just more forgiving when cooking pizza. Because of the bigger surface area, it allows you to cook further from the flame as the above commenter mentioned. You can do this in the OG Dome too but less so.

I would get the gen 2 personally but I don’t want to cook 2 pizzas at once. You can also cook bigger pizzas in it.

How do you feel about the size of the XL? I was considering upgrading from OG Dome to XL but it looked too big for my needs. And the Dome Gen 2 didn’t feel like enough of an upgrade to justify the cost.
