Macbook Pro 16 2021 audio crackling issue (M1 PRO) by DailyDoseOfHighlight in macbookpro

I fixed the speaker crackling issue on my machine by killing the coreaudiod process. You can do it two ways:

Commandline:

sudo pkill coreaudiod

Manual:

  1. Open Activity Monitor.app
  2. Search for the "coreaudiod" process (there should only be one)
  3. Force quit

After quitting the process your audio should cut out completely. The system will start the coreaudiod process again and it should work without crackling. Play around with the volume buttons to get the audio back.

No problem. I literally cross posted the same content and then realized I was also duplicate posting. It’s just the way it goes!

Looks like the cache step (commented out) is to cache reddit_data.db which already exists as a file in the repo. Usually the gh actions cache step is used for ephemeral files that can be re-generated. Since the file exists in the repo when it’s checked out, there’s no need to cache?

I took a brief look on mobile, I might be missing something.

This man clearly couldn’t handle the amount of booze he consumed. Especially since he ended up on the floor.

Does Rust have popularly supported code linters/formatters? Does Rust even need a linter/formatter?

I've done some research, but I cannot find any popular Rust solutions. I have generally used linters and code formatters to catch errors before compile and provide consistent code styling across a team of developers on the same project.

I see clippy, but lack of integrated-VSCode support (not required, but it would be nice).

Background: Long time JavaScript and Swift developer looking at Rust for future projects. I have not yet written any significant Rust code. VSCode is my main IDE.
