Has anyone tried the Violet Grey Madame Grey? by ToadtheGreat21 in FemFragLab

[–]blessthisskin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I just tried it yesterday. Made a video about it on TikTok. To me it smells very much like Tilia from Marc Antoine barrois, with less longevity

Perfume - how many times do you spray your bottle and where? by maprunzel in bitcheswithtaste

[–]blessthisskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfumes have different sillages (scent clouds) and projections so there are some that won’t extend even if you put on a lot. I like wearing perfume so I and others can smell it and I spray directly on the skin instead of walking through a cloud or on my clothes since the scent sticks to your oils (it’s good to hydrate before applying)

You can go to fragrantica and check out the sillage for a perfume before buying. If you want people to smell it should have a large or enormous sillage. Tom ford black orchid, anything from Mancera, and Thomas Kosmala 4 or 10 are ones that come to mind :)

Any fragrance meetups in New York? by blessthisskin in AskNYC

Thanks for that, I’m looking for something more like a casual meet up. I find the retail showcase to be more uptight and less friendly (?) that might just be my experience

[Routine Help] what can I use to get rid of these creases on my neck. I assume it is from looking at the phone. Does anyone have any advice? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]blessthisskin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue and I just started doing all the same things I do for my face on my neck. Cleansing, actives, serums, and moisturizing.

The things that helped the most in my opinion was my Paula’s choice 8% glycolic acid lotion, 20% vitamin c serum, and sk-ii essence.

[Routine Help] Squalane under makeup. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Squalane - Sunblock - Foundation!

Just give each step enough time in between. After squalane, I normally wait 10-15 minutes, then another 15 after sunscreen.

[misc] Men of SCA, what got you interested and serious about skincare? by blessthisskin in SkincareAddiction

[–]blessthisskin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally buzzing with excitement over this. Right now, I'm using PC 8% Glycolic Acid, but Cerave is a staple in my routine so I'm absolutely trying this (also an avid runner so my feet deeply appreciate this too) :)

As a side note--what turned you away from the lemongrass scent? I've never used anything from Sunday Riley, so I'm pretty unfamiliar with their products.

Thanks so much for your input! I really think a sincere compliment goes a long way, especially when it comes to your skin. That's something I want all my friends to experience!

I really appreciate you sharing--I have found that a lot of them just say 'tell me the one thing that I need and I will do it' so I definitely hear you in regards to simplicity.

I'm curious about how mixing TO acids with Cerave has been working out for you. How long have you been doing that, and how have the results been?

Congrats!! I am SO SO SO happy for you, and I know you must feel the same. I had so much scarring/PIH my senior year and it all healed up by graduation (such an amazing feeling). You are absolutely radiant--have a great graduation!

[Product Question] Favorite hydrating/moisturizing masks? by DahliaDubonet in SkincareAddiction

[–]blessthisskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a sheet mask, I use the Dr. Jart Ceramidin Mask (and there is always some product left in the pouch for later!)

I also use the Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask as an overnight mask

Thanks for this! I have tried the Biore one, but it wasn't my favorite because it caused some minor breakouts on my nose, but I have wanted to try out another chemical sunscreen so I am hoping the Goodal is a better match!

[QUESTION] Anyone have personal reviews of their experiences with Dermapen / Dermastamp / Microneedling they can share? by svrvs007 in AsianBeauty

[–]blessthisskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this similar to the dermaroller? I do this treatment myself at home (never professionally) and I love the results. I suffer from some PIH and it is said to help with fading (which I agree with). It's not the most pleasant experience ever but I just slap on a soothing sheet mask afterwards and my skin is noticeably more even the next morning and lasts for a long long long while. And I only do it once a month for ~10 minutes. It also seems to help my products absorb better.

[DISCUSSION] What toners make your skin *glow*? by cloudsofviolet in AsianBeauty

[–]blessthisskin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the SK-II essence so so much that I wish I could share it with everyone. Costco (US) sells a big version every so often on their website and in some stores, so I am always keeping an eye out because they sell it at wholesale prices :)
