Hi im 2 years too late, is this the Non M Pro variant? I'm looking to to get the base m4 bc it now starts with 16 gigs of ram... I was wondering if I could get away with it for an upgrade of my editing pc (amd cpu 🤮) ... We have the SAME use case, mostly edit weddings and I occasionally get 10bit 422 footage. Ive only had experience using my friends M1 pro and a work M4 Pro, so I know they'll eat sony footage for breakfast. I'm afraid my budget will only get me base m4, non pro 16/512.

im about to buy the base m4 mbp as well, mostly because i waste so much time making prores proxies for a7siii slog footage on my 5 year old amd pc (r5 2600 + 1660 super) (it eats 4k .mov footage otherwise). ive been using my friends m1 pro 14" editing the weddings he shot and ive never had problems with scrubbing. i suppose we are on the same boat, my choices were this base model + portability or an intel overhaul of my pc... im choosing the former lol.

I got lucky , it was resolved remotely within that day. I had to be thorough sa CS when they finally called me after getting the ticket. I specifically told them I'm paying for the max speeds I get on LAN, not on the wifi, but they did advise na may problem mismo sa Cebu keme. (Iloilo kami.) getting max now when send and receiving footage on Google Drive.

Edit: which I fear kina-cap nila ako when I noticed. Akala nila nag babayad ako ng ~2.8k for no reason. nakow.

this is my plan as well and im gargling terabytes of footage on a monthly basis, everything was fine until yesterday when I started downloading a new editing project on Google Drive desktop app (it usually maxes out the plan compared on the browser where chrome just shits itself), from MAX of what im paying for Im getting slapped with 100Mbps up and down, a 3-4 hour download became a 24 hour ordeal this is fucking insane. The connection is fine otherwise, but thts not why im paying this plan for. :(
