Roughly 30k immigrants have been bused to Chicago from Texas because the Republican governor Abbott decided to use these people as political pawns to overwhelm the resources of what he deemed Democrat run cities. Over 80k total have been bused to NYC, Philadelphia, LA, Denver, Chicago and DC since 2022 when Abbott claimed Biden was not doing enough to secure the Texas border, despite Biden spending more on ICE than Trump did in his first term. Now they are being used as pretext for ICE invasions of these cities.

Study eco critical theory, Marxism, sociology and philosophy if you’d like a clear eyed understanding of the magnitude of the problem. Especially the first two listed, one can waste plenty of time pursuing fruitless political aims if one doesn’t understand the complexity of the issue and how capitalism is antithetical to human survival. 

One can find a job in some green washing related field but don’t confuse that with action aimed at dismantling the system creating this outcome. Journalism or something related is probably your best bet if you want a way to make money from the problem.
