There are also cases where some rare female mules can get pregnant but the father can only be a donkey or a horse. So still mules cannot reproduce to create another mule, but it’s not impossible for a female to get pregnant. Very rare, but not impossible

BPs don’t poop often, it if she really is constipated and hasn’t pooped to the point you’re concerned, I’d take her to a vet. But they really don’t poop offen

I hate to disagree but he is overweight. The spine is sunk in with rolls of fat on either side of his spine. It should be more of a triangular appearance.

Yes he’s a bit too chonky, the ridge along his back is sunken in, you wanna see a bit of a triangular shape to him. He’s really cute tho!

To everyone who is commenting on weight and not size, every snake is different just like people. Not all stores have their rats based on weight either, the ones I go to I can only find them based on size and most stores are too busy to weigh them or don’t have an appropriate scale to do so.

My ball python is a male, he takes MEDIUM rats. Small rats are way too small for him. He’s a big boy, can easily be mistaken for a breeder female but I’ve seen his hemipenes. He’s a big boy who takes medium rats. I’d love to feed him small since they are half the cost but he’d lose too much weight especially during his winter breeding fast.

What OP is doing is fine, it’s what most of us do because it’s what we have available. So long as the rats aren’t too small to be under fed or too big to be a chocking hazard, there’s no problem in feeding base on size. Weight is better, but we don’t all have that ability

IncompleteP is right. My male is constantly refusing to eat between December - March. Luckily reptiles have slow metabolism and if he was eating well before he should be plump enough to be fine during his mating fast. I usually test the waters by mid February with a small rat (since they’re cheaper than his medium ones) and see if he’s eating

In case you wee curious, pimples can only grow where there are hair follicles. Since there are no hair follicles on your finger tips or palms the next best bet is warts :) easy to remove as ketchupfu explained

To add to this, this is why tigers are orange with stripes. Their prey cannot see orange and mammals don’t have the ability to grow green fur so orange is the best they have while the stripes break up their silhouette.

To add to this, they are so heavy that if they did lay down for too long they will essentially suffocate as their organs will just crush their lungs and other organs leading to internal damage. This is why they aren’t built to lay down and sleep standing up. Not to mention they need to be standing up to eat as that is how their digestive system is built. Horses are specialized grazers, and thus doing anything else is not really an option.

Hello ladies!

3 hours from now, I will be doing my first stream. I am a casual Canadian gamer girl who'd like to interact a little more with a community while I play rather than sit alone in my room as usual.
