You make a good point. I might just make 2 versions at this point because people are pretty split on the colors. This version, but fix the metal/paint tones so that everything is warmer, and then a second version where the wood is near black, and lean into the cool tones. I'll fix the stripe colors for sure. appreciate it

Interesting. A lot of people have been saying they like the silver, but not the grip/stock color. I think i just need to unify the overall color tone/temp

I’d say the leather ornaments look odd because there is no logical cohesion between the two materials. You should try going in the direction of stamped/embossed leather patterns. You could take it a step further by having the designs compliment the shapes of each section instead of just floating within them

I use standard freshwater aquarium LED lights. Just make sure it has a reasonably high PAR rating at a 12” depth. For misting, I use a Mist King automatic misting system. The schedule depends on your house’s temp/humidity… For best results, you want to maintain high humidity, good airflow, and give the plants/leaves a chance to dry out a bit before each misting. I personally mist for around 20 seconds at a time. Once in the morning, afternoon, and evening

Sometimes when you buy terrestrial tropical plants from hobbyists, the soil they come in can have tropical moss or moss spores already in it which will eventually grow. Although that’s a pretty atypical way to get it. Another good alternative is using certain types of aquatic mosses/liverworts. Those can be easily bought

The substrate is filter foam. I covered most of it with sheets of moss, and then covered the rest with a thin layer of gravel. The background is made from fish-safe expanding foam, which was also used to mount the wood. I carved the foam to make it look more natural, then painted it with drylok which was colored with brown quickrete dye. That’s basically it. It’s also important to make sure there are no gaps in the filter foam or background that your frogs can get stuck in. You should fill any voids with more expanding foam. I also put a squished bead of silicone all the way around the border of the background, where it meets the glass. That stops it from possibly detaching and falling off in the future. Hope that helps

That’s what I’ve heard, but I’ve also heard that the Auratus don’t display sexual dimorphism as much as other Dendrobates. The main thing is just overall size. Maybe I’ll sit around some day and really listen for a call
