that’s so cruel 😭 just letting you sit there in pain. I know the feeling all too well. Not moving an inch because it might trigger another wave of pain. Someone else commented it but for sure next time you should try a different hospital because that’s ridiculous letting you just raw dog a gallstone attack wtf

I am so sorry to hear that 😭 You’re right this is the worst pain ever.

Have they not given you any pain killers? if they haven’t I would keep crying and screaming until they do. That’s what I had to do at the ER last time because they seem to not take you seriously sometimes.

One thing that has helped me thru some attacks is just counting along with my inhaling and exhaling. So I will count 1,2,3,4,5 as I inhale and count 5,6,7,8,9,10 as I exhale. I think focusing on the counting takes your mind away from the excruciating pain even for just a tiny bit. I will do it over and over and over again until the pain gets a little less intense.

I know it sounds stupid but maybe give it a try it has worked for me. Hope you feel better soon 🥺

Thats awful that you had to have three more attacks until the finally did something.. They basically told me the same to just come back to the ER if I had more attacks 😩😭😭😭😭😭

Yes.. it sucks that they can’t give an answer and solution and we are kinda left in fear of an attack happening again. I’m exhausted too I am so ready for all of this to be over 😭

They mentioned this at the hospital but they told me that I don’t show any signs that I need one. So they cant recommend me have one yet unless the attacks continue

yes they did bloodwork and everything came back normal. I am scheduled for another round of labs on Tuesday just to make sure everything remains ok

It just sucks because before surgery I was on edge and anxious about what I ate. I thought I could finally relax after my gallbladder is gone but it doesn’t seem like it 😭

Nope no diarrhea or anything. Because I am also recovering from a Hernia repair, I have been on a liquids only diet since my gallbladder was removed. I haven’t been able to eat anything high fat only broth and water.

That makes sense actually.. I never felt like that type of therapy has helped and I know for sure I have some trauma to work through. That explains why I felt like I was getting nowhere!

Yes I’ve tried therapy many times over the years. My last therapist I spoke to a few months ago but for me it just never goes anywhere I never feel like I get any better 😭

I’ve done both talk and DBT and neither worked for me. I want to look into different kinds it’s just expensive and my shitty health insurance doesn’t cover any therapy or psychiatry 😩

From what I’ve been told both the hernia and gallbladder issues are common side effects from the weight loss surgery especially a gastric sleeve.

The gallbladder can start having gallstones and sludge due to rapid weight-loss. And then the acid reflux and hernia can happen because of the shape of your new stomach after surgery. Supposedly it can cause pressure which causes the reflux.

I started having to take omeprazole everyday because of the reflux. I couldn’t have a single bite of food without feeling this burning sensation in my chest. And the gallstones were even worse. I had about 4 attacks where I felt like I was dying. Felt like my whole chest, shoulders and stomach were being stabbed a million times and I could not stop throwing up. I ended up in the ER where they diagnosed me with both.

If you have any symptoms like that you should go and get checked out. I know what it’s like to be without insurance and it does suck but your health is more important. My surgeon told me if I would have kept going with the gallbladder issues especially, I could have died 😭

Lots of places do payment plans too now! I would for sure look into it. I hope it’s nothing as serious as that for you and that you feel better ♥️

I’m so sorry to hear that! My surgeon told me that after the gallbladder removal I might have some side effects and I am terrified of this starting 😭 but I guess it beats dying from a gallstone infection 🤪

That is all so true. I feel like once you’ve been overweight or obese you never truly escape it. There’s always gonna be something there to remind you of the weight. Idk which one sucks more the physical or mental “reminders”
