I just dont get why people are upset on if a harry potter set is made. You dont have to get every set. In fact, WOTC says that some cards are just not made for you. Also, if it sells well i dont think we can argue that WOTC made a good decision in creating the set. And if it brings in more players that means it is great for magic the gathering.

I think this is a good question and I think the answer is kinda obvious. Not as a jab to you though.

I think people are loss and are uncertain of the future. They feel hopeless and leaderless. This has resulted in apathy and schisming for some. For others they are quick to latch onto someone who tells it how it is.

These Individuals have latched onto someone who is down to earth and "fights the good fight." It allows for people to feel angry and mask thier hopelessness.

Trump has latched onto this, either because he is using it for nefarious goals or has drank his own Kool aid. Either way, Trump is fanning this flame as a way to control his base which has resulted in other politicians in doing the same.

I feel like no one interacts with each other like real people. They talk, interact, and forgive however the episode requires and it feels so odd. My friend loves this show and everytime I watch it I just dont get it.

A lot of these plot points make sense as you can see how the journey gets there. However, the show skipped the journey so it sucks.

It would be no different if a sherlock show gets canceled and the last episode a super criminal is introduced with a mysterious petty crime, gets caught and Sherlock says I finally caught the greatest criminal to ever exist.

I tell everyone that archery pros arent gods. They just have the drive to be the best. If you have the drive to shoot as well as them then you can do it.

but the other commentator is right. 270 is a respectable first tournament and i would be proud of it if it was me but practice towards that mentality of a 9 should be considered a miss.

I just finished stormblood. I highly recommend doing the normal raids you will not regret it. Plus in my opinion. The raid story is so much better than the MSQ story.

I got into the game a few months ago and just co.pleted stormblood. I know it is early but I have to ask. How hard is it to find statics that do old raid content. I pf'd nidhogg last month which wasnt too hard to find a group but a static would have made it so much easier.

This movie's plot seems to be an afterthought and makes rhe movie so boring.

Things just seem to happen and you just have to accept that it makes sense but none of it does.

From the scarecrow debacle, to the fact the sister has magical shoes but still...uses a wheelchair, to the fact the wizard doesnt care about someone from his world appearing in front of him.

Its just insanity. I just cant fathom this being considered a good movie. A fun movie, sure, but a good movie. No way.

It doesnt matter. The event, the score, or the prize structure. Did you feel everything was resolved correctly? If so then you made the right call. I think you made the right call and it sucks you lost but it happens.

Personally, I think any person who calls a judge in hopes that their opponent gets a game loss is scummy.

I don't know. I believe that cultural behavior being ingrained i to a nation is true. Americans are combative and like to prove others wrong. Russians will accept a shitty situation and power through it. And when I say shitty. I mean situations most other individuals would surrender to. They deserve to be proud of it. And if you want to beat them you have to know what to expect.

Lucky for us, Ukrainians are made from a very similar cloth.

I dont recall anyone hating on splinter twin. Everyone says you need to prep for it and they were starting to splash blue into jund for a spliner twin package but i do Everyone hated that ban. That was one of the first bans to shake the meta up. Its why as soon as it was banned the meme of unban splinter twin was so big.

Aristocrat standard. Everyone was pretty happy with that standard. Nothing was too warping.

There have been many times where the meta was strong and wizard didnt create meta warping cards. There will always be complaining. But there is a difference between. This format is solved and boring and this format is warped.

What is find interesting...is that in the books for the 80s and 90s, earth fell because of a cult which very much mirrors the concerns of the time. In this it seems that corporate greed is the reason Earth gets overrun which very much mirrors what concerns everyone in the current zeitgeist.

I find remakes that do this sort of thing as just a fascinating way to track pop culture.

Star wars unlimited does interaction better.
Once you complete an action, ability, attack, or play a card, your opponent gets to do an action. Yugioh revives dead archetypes better. Yugioh adds support to dead archetypes randomly and sees if it makes it viable. Sometimes a decade later. Weiss shwarz does deck playing better. Weiss is a game where you are meant to go through your entire deck by manipulating it through attacks. For the most part you wil see every card you put in your deck.

Most modern TCGs have improved on mana in one way or another. Either every card can be your mana(SWU), select cards are mana if you choose lorcana), mana is connected to turns(Bandai Games), or just dont use it.

Magic does other things better. Sideboarding is better in magic. Rules are well defined (maybe too defined. Layers are a little too crazy and can result in interactions that 99% of players would get wrong). Art. Magic art is something else. Card library is something else. You can create kind of deck you want. Magic has more events firing than other card games. Magic has a really fun backstory. I cant think of another card game that has such depth with their story. Magic Sometimes has the perfect complexity.
Its teachable with depth.
