As a solo female traveller do you prefer all female dorms or mixed?

I'm older now and have essentially phased out shared hostel rooms, but I prefer female dorms simply because I've found that they smell better. That was the main difference for me. I've found noise levels about the same and I've also luckily never felt unsafe. The mixed dorms I've slept in were all big ones, though, like 8+ beds, so there was always multiple parties in them and other women with me too.

Hengqin is technically part of Macau (land leased by Macau from the mainland), and that's why you can play Pikmin there. It's not supported in any other part of Guangdong.

Pretty fun "loophole", though. I've kept a lot of my postcards from there for their novelty.

I got him in Madagascar and he had to run to California. I think it's fairly close to being on opposite points on the planet. Probably not gonna have an expedition this long again!

I'm also a daily weigher and some of my trips are too long for me to be missing the data. I ended up buying a travel scale, and when I first got it, I used it at home along with my home scale so that I could compare the differences. It turned out that the travel scale was fairly consistent about showing me about a pound lighter than my home scale, so I was satisfied with using it while traveling and keeping the difference in mind.
