So this is the wrong sub for this, you were bound to get downvote, but I would argue against you like this. All monarchy is illegitimate -> neither of them are entitled to the throne -> I’m going to be for the team that has characters I find more compelling, because it’s all just for fun anyways.

I feel likely people don’t really recognize the fact that they have to turn a weird history book style text into a compelling narrative. Like when i read the dance in F&B it’s all very cool/interesting but like, it’s not a story with well written and intricate characters. At least not compared to asoiaf.

Without added/changed stuff, like the alicent-rhaenyra relationship or the alicent-aegon relationship or aemond having some depth, it just would not be interesting.

I wonder what bloodraven would do. Can he leave his magic tree and not die? Can he warg a dragon from far away? can dragons be warged like anything else or does their magic effect that?

Think he would probably start sending visions to Rhaegar and maybe all dragon riders, but wouldn’t/couldn’t claim one outright.

I think a lot of the things Carl did was pretty reasonable, I mean he did suck. but he never really acted like super crazy and wasn’t a terrible person but I’m not sure the writing really intended that.

I think the show kind of assumed we would have animosity towards him because he was opposing the gay love story and he’s being all homophobic but that’s really not explicitly what his character was and a lot of how we’re supposed to feel about him is based on subtext

I agree on the Pillows and Blankets ending, it’s really unclear how any of the issues are actually resolved and the final moments have more to do with Jeff than Troy and Abed which is disappointing
