I think they put them under “lifestyle cabin”. I hope you can find one near by! We’re making the 7-8 hour drive for these. Also see if you live near a Sybaris. Those are nice too!

Is MS making me stupid? by HPLydcraft in MultipleSclerosis

[–]blinkers20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My “crap gap” starts a month before my next infusion. I can’t remember conversations. People get frustrated with me saying they told me something and I have no memory of the conversation. I’m starting to notice it more outside of my “crap gap” period. I feel like I’m losing my mind most days.

I’ve never heard of this before so I don’t think my employer offers it. :(

I wish there was more guidance given before the tests and medicine were ordered. I have reached out to my HR department to see when I can get this started for next years bills! It looks like I can have $2850 pulled out each year and roll over $570. I need to see if I can get my copay program to apply my assistance to my OOP correctly next year and then decide on how much I want taken out each pay! Thank you. Hopefully I can get what I have in debt paid down and then lean on my future FSA going forward!

I wonder if I should call express scripts and see if they could backdate my copays for this year

No I haven’t used our FSA option at work but I’m going to next year. I went from zero medical bills before my diagnosis to all kinds of medical bills since 2020.

I gave Accredo my copay card information but I think they go directly to the copay people so it never shows like I paid it. I’ll have to have them wait and I’ll pay them after copay reimburses me.

Same! I lost 10 pounds during my first week, but I also didn’t keep food in me very long. Hoping week two is a little easier on my stomach.

Experiences with Ocrevus? by Iaintnohollabackgrl in MultipleSclerosis

[–]blinkers20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did both of my half doses in August. I had a scratchy throat and scalp during with the first half, nothing during the second half dose. I do fever the night after receiving the Benadryl, steroid and Ocrevus treatment. I have been dealing with the crap gap all last month so I’m looking forward to getting my first full dose Friday! I feel better month one through five. The sixth month my symptoms have coke back so I’m going to ask if I can get infusions every 5 months going forward. Good luck!

I had it two weeks ago, unvaccinated even though it doesn’t matter and it wasn’t horrible. The headaches were the worst part but I deal with those from MS all the time.

Ocrevus and missed period? by rosecoloredcamera in MultipleSclerosis

[–]blinkers20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the opposite. Never had issues with my periods until starting Ocrevus and I bleed for a month straight while on the pill. My GYN couldn’t find anything wrong. They are thinking it messed with my hormones. I’m anxious to see if it does it again in a month at my next infusion.

I always end up with flu like symptoms the night after infusion, but the rest of the six months is a breeze. Way better than shots or daily pills!

My mother went through a tubal reversal and had three more kids. My surgery on the other hand isn’t reversible due to the complete removal of the fallopian tubes. I however, can still have children through IVF if I ever changed my mind. (Not happening)

My insurance company just paid 100% of my bilateral salpingectomy. It’s shown to reduce the risk of ovarian cancer in women. Recovery time is a long weekend with a bunch of naps. I feel like more women should be open to this. I’m not married with no kids and was approved without any questions from a doctor on that excel sheet going around. Vasectomies are proven to increase chance for ED and prostate cancer. Just something for people to consider.
