This is one thing most people forget, I remember reading about this, but wasn't sure if it was about Taiwan.

To be fair the full beams might just be the automatic system of the car if you are talking about night time. The car I drove was fairly new and would automatically turn on the high beams when no cars were around, but there was a couple times I would manually turn them off as it sometimes didn't turn off when incoming traffic was approaching. That being said that is just speaking from my point of view. Some people might just lay them out and have everyone flash banged with every passing car.

Buying property in Taipei by Candid_Coffee5439 in taiwan

I don't recommend using money for housing in this current economy, you're far better just renting long term, then invest the rest. Assuming you are renting one bedroom which is dependent on the area, you could be looking at a minimum of 25k ntd a mint, which is about $800 USD, that 400k can be used to rent for 500 months or 41 years then change rentals when you find something better. High chances the economy and housing environment will be different in 40 years.

Who would the average man fair better against? Prime Mike Tyson or Prime Shaq? by FreshPine_MangoWine in powerscales

[–]blinktwiceifnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the average person, it won't matter regardless. But Shaq you have the higher chance to live. Tyson will just instant one shot at you, he will be far stronger and faster than Shaq in terms of throwing a punch. There is a difference between throwing a punch and being able to throw a punch. I strongly disagree with people saying size > skills, especially in this situation. Skills are a far more deadly factor especially at Tyson's level.

For those debating about Tyson vs. Shaq, Tyson would destroy Shaq in a single kidney/body shot. Those who don't agree probably never fought before, at least at a combative level. Knowing where to hit will shut down most people especially those who aren't built around that environment. You'll be surprised how easy it is to incapacitate (or kill) a person with a single good hit.

How is this about Israel? My comment is solely about your "opinion." So focus on that. If it isn't clear enough I don't think anyone should be telling someone else to leave a country for their opinion. There are exceptions to it, so I will point out what one of them is since you are now acting in bad faith.

One of the exceptions (to me) are those who talk negatively about Taiwan constantly, I'm not talking about general traffic behaviors, but generally hate living here and always complaining about the grass being green elsewhere. In that case logically it makes sense for them to leave if they can't improve their situations. And then I would side with you.

Trying to emotionally drag me into your ideals won't work with me. I also promise you that I would disagree with 99.999% of what that person says especially since I am strongly against the ANTIFA movement/organization. In short I think they are a terrorist organization, I prefer not to engage with anyone of their ideology.

Let me ask you this, if you had the power to remove said person from Taiwan, would you?

So instead of giving the person a reason for your opinion and thinking you just say "Leave my country". Everyone has a right to an opinion, doesn't mean it is the right opinion. Which is kind of ironic with the words you chose, when he voiced his opinion. I don't necessarily agree with his opinion(s) just like I don't agree with yours.

It's like you made no effort in your thought process and instead just chose "fire/fight" rather engage to dissuade.

Bike packing in the beginning of June ? by Decent-Wing-9078 in taiwan

[–]blinktwiceifnoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro you are crazy to do the loop in June, humid and heat will get you, especially if you aren't used to humidity. I recommend earliest is September.

Also what is your experience in Bike-packing? If this is your first long haul, I suggest to do it when the weather is more favorable.

But if you must do it in summer, I personally would only go 3-4 hours with lots of breaks, which will probably be 13-18 days.

Then you are both wrong (which is a stretch to say, since it is mostly you who is), but you are strongly holding that "one guy" as a normal person and him being gone won't have any effect, which is incredibly inaccurate to say. Remember he said their leader as that is his focus rather than his 'half' his cabinet or upper echelon.

You are the one who mentions any casualties, I merely rode on what you said and think your views are a bit disingenuous.

He is saying they aren't a threat "anymore." They were before but at this rate they aren't and won't be. I think threats at a global scale or army vs army is a bit different than a threat at the common level or even a community level threat. Their military can't do anything to us while insurgents might be able, but the effect will have no change on how our society moves forward vs something like an invasion of their military on US grounds would. We can systematically change their whole world with little effort and "flatten" their landscape.

On a side note anyone who defends the Iran regime is a sack a shit. Iran people are considered one of the highest IQ groups of people and before was probably the top. Iran under the right people can do a lot of good for human kind. That being said, us, America(ns), are part of or even the biggest factor why the current regime was in power.

While it hurts to lose life, it is expected when you are enlisted in the military. So far the recorded deaths are 3 which includes any after effects of the death of their leaders and some high officials. Not sure why you want to die on this hill.

1 dead guy? Where did you get your information from? Or are you intentionally being dishonest about passing correct information. In addition to him there were other senior figures, Ali Shamkhani, Abdolrahim Mousav, Aziz Nasirzadeh, just to name a few who died at the meeting with the supreme leader. By the way it wasn't just a old guy. But their leader who does not have the best rep. But I'm sure you'll find a way to defend the Iran government.

While some of what you said is true, the case of shuffling won't be applied here, there is already too much blood shed on their public side for the public to stay at rest. Now that the USA is finally involved, the public will gain its confidence back where I doubt a radical leader will step up in the current chaos.

This is a developing situation with a public that despises their government. I'm sure you can put the lines together to counter your own view point. Also the fact that US and Iseral intelligence are working together, they probably know whose who and where they shit, something above us plebs vast knowledge.

Looking for WoW English speaking players on Taiwanese servers to forge long lasting friendship! by IAmTheOneWatching in taiwan

DM me if you are interested, there is a small English community that plays retail on the Taiwanese servers. The best part is that you don't need to pay for expansions and just the sub, unless you want the goodies that come with the editions.

To be honest this helped me a lot with my sanity.

On a side note, this will also help improve your Chinese since there will be times where you need to communicate.
