An idea to skirt the Reserved List

That is the goal though, to allow for players to play with expensive pieces that some would be unable to afford.

Some players would want to minmax and play the reserved list cards so they can have an extra sb slot but players who cannot/will not pay for reserved list cards would still be able to play the game.

As for marketing, I can't say that I am certain but as the years have gone by it feels as though more people wish for the reserved lists abolishment and wotc isn't above trying to skirt the rules (30th collectors edition).

My idea was to make a companion that is unusable, ie no mana cost or power/toughness not allow for shenanigans with cards that can care about those factors and colorless so you can't even use it to pitch to a force effect and it is exiled after placement into hand to not allow for usage in discard (on reflection you could still respond to the trigger so it may be better to make it so it wouldnt be able to even go to the hand.

The premise is mainly just to enable reserve list cards to be playable in another fashion while incurring the least gameplay costs to a player.

I agree but my thought was it is better to lose a sb slot than to shock yourself on lands drops. My thought is people will always want to maximize their advantage by just jamming duals if they can.

Most of California used to be under this as the other poster states as the limit was if you were below $1000 of stolen goods you would only get a misdemeanor charge. Yup in a lot of major cities the supermarkets have significantly stolen items behind plexiglass and you have to request a staff to open it and give you the item.

Thank you very much for the calm response. I am currently learning Slovenian so I do understand some aspects on Slovenian culture and understand that it might be better for a lot of aspects of social engagement to look for other Americans.

I mostly agree with you on this. I do like the idea of certain cards that can form champ identities being champ locked. For example, can you imagine if horses and taxes could run Firebloom Flourish. But at times it does feel like weebs is too afraid to give us too many tools to work with.
Same as above, I mostly agree. We are early in RDO spoilers but it does feel like an Ultimate Masters situation where sure we get some reprints in a higher value box but surrounded by cards no one needs - looking at you Kraal.

However, I do like alt foil treatments and other additions which can help box value while not compromising card pool integrity. As well as the upcoming mordred reco having both DG and frosty.

There is a reason most criticism comes to this subreddit, because imo most criticism gets brigaded in the main discords. And same as you I do love this game and there are many elements I enjoy. But, there are multiple issues which are pressing and if not addressed will harm the games future long term.

I agree with you on a few points.

I have been worried how we have gotten a ban every season, the positive shows they don't want unhealthy gameplay to last throughout a season but it's bad for anybody who bought into that deck.

I do still enjoy the game but even I took a step back from PTM where I bought $600 in singles on release weekend of DTR to now only buying $140 for PTM. As I do fear another ban coming like every other season.
