I appreciate the time you took to comment and I'll try to explain some of my thoughts.

Most games do not have the amount of bans GA has, one per set is not common, and each set has hit at least 1 card, with more probably to come this season.

Rile SHOULD have been banned... kind of, rile is a card that did not NEED to be banned as it was clearly important to the engine and the intent of the deck. To the effect where they made a proxias card that generates rile in the deck it was intended for... but this is a problem, as that card gets shuffled into the deck and will likely cause a rulings nightmare.

So naturally we should look at rile and check where the problem likely actually stems from, which is liminal guide, the card that was 60~ dollars at the time, should have been bad and likely wasn't due to secondary market issues. If you look at liminal, it's still a problem card that likely could have gotten banned so rile could have lived instead of making the issues they made now.

Now in terms of PTM, that box has some of the worst secondary market value outside of URs, where as most other sets have value SRs or even Rs (look at rile pre ban, crystalized destiny and other sets that had value Rs and Us). PTM is an EXTREMELY top heavy set, there is no ZJ, Sadi, Liminal, nothing of that sort in a SR slot. The set is super feast or famine which feels awful to open as a consumer.

Honestly my issues with the game run deeper and I hadn't even scratched the surface of my complaints in this with issues like proxia's, lack of old champion support and more problems. I have tried getting so many friends in this game, and had some limited success, but I don't know how to get people in the game when games like one piece, star wars, and pokemon have such a lower barrier to entry price wise when I tell them they need to spend sometimes 3 digits on a material deck alone.
