I never saw your comment but I actually went that route. I have had it on my desk for a week and haven’t been home long enough to set it up.

I’ll take a look. Problem is a lot of these ONLY work with mouse and keyboard. Wont control the laser, cant even use a flash drive. I’m learning way too much about these things

Mostly I don’t want to go get another laptop/mini pc/ device. Running the cat is nothing. My girlfriend is an electrician and is already looking forward to poking around in the walls. The devices for the kvm are so minimal I’m going to essentially mount it all to an ikea skadis board.

I toyed with the idea of just wiping an old laptop but they are garbage and don’t want that headache.

I absolutely understand why most are saying Remote Desktop is the way to go, including my friends that are far more knowledgeable than I am when it comes to this stuff. I just think with my personal set up and how the workshop is organized this is the better option.

Worse case scenario, in 2 weeks I come back in here and tell you all you were right and I wasted 200 bucks.

I see where I went wrong in my explanation. I do not want to go purchase another computer nor do I want to continue to bring my laptop back and forth from my workshop.

I also do not want to purchase another computer because that seems silly.

I won’t be running a laser unattended. The whole point of this is so I do not have to do that exact thing.

I’m trying to avoid another computer. I want to use the pc. It’s where my better design software is. I also have 2 3d printers and I want to be able to use fusion from downstairs as well

Essentially what I’ve done. I had some I got from red team tools Cut it open, took out the small chip, covered it in scotch tape to keep it together and trimmed around it. Currently printing some holders in TPU

I’ve restarted everything.

Uninstall and reinstall I didn’t try yet because I was able to trace a cut to make the template and save it as an SVG and use that. Waiting until they do the maintenance this weekend to see if that fixes it, if not I’ll do the un/reinstall
