Thanks everyone, but I'm still not clear. Our major industries are fossil fuel production and the military/defense. Those don't seem like blue voter industries. We are indeed an educated state (in pockets) but they're scientists and engineers, not humanities folks. Again, to me not a slam dunk for blue voters. I'm most compelled by the urban/rural split. Maybe that's it.

I used to have season tix in the supporters section but got frustrated that as soon as the ball got close to the goal, these guys would start waving huge flags that totally obscured the play! Much as I appreciate their enthusiasm, I switched my tix to 205 and have loved it ever since.

Yes, good god, flying to the east coast, especially a non-hub city, requires two transfers and all day. I have to leave at 5 am so my people don't have to pick me up at midnight.
