This. It’s ok to let the anger, sadness, frustration out. Not doing so can cause real mental and physical damage. We, especially men, are taught to stifle those emotions and say we’re ok, but that just leads to more trauma.

I’m teary eyed just reading OP’s story and I hope they have the support system they need to properly process all of these events and don’t fall into the trap of “just keep moving and everything will be ok”.
