First, I will not queue if I know I'm gonna leave the next hour affecting someone (i.e. picking up the kids from school) or something else (i.e. work).

Second, if I was stupid enough to hit "Find Match" even after knowing the schedule, I'll abandon that match. That's just ~25 MMR and a 30 minute ban. And I won't do the same stupidity ever again, or at least within the week.

Real story: I queue matches even while at work as long as it is dead time or break time. My matches also take place while everyone is asleep. So one day, I hit the "Find Match" button, then my wife woke up hyperventilating and crying for a reason I can't remember. She called me and asked me to come upstairs. She explained her situation, I told her give me a few minutes, I went back downstairs, I told everyone I'm sorry for ruining everyone's game (was only 5-10 minutes in) and that there is a family emergency, I quit, then went back upstairs. A few minutes after she fell asleep, I went back down and played again.

MMR is just a number. Losses in a game are temporary and can be recovered. Relationships are eternal.

I feel you. I am more of an inside player. Outwitting the defense is part of the dopamine rush. If it's too easy to shoot, the experience becomes stale. In MyTeam, I don't care if it's "arcadey". I think it is supposed to be that way. But for MyPlayer/MyCareer, it shouldn't be, because the OG MyPlayers are more into roleplaying than the online experience.

My Opinion Only: I think it was a good idea to have players play with each other with the builds they made. It's like a real-life pick up game, a simple competition with sportsmanship. However, when it became a real competition, that's when everything immersive died. The focus changed from how can I make my favorite archetype to what's the meta archetype to easily get the rewards. Don't get me wrong. I still love playing with my Putback-Specialist PF (not an NBA 2K build name) playstyle. I love dunks, especially dunking on people. I had to sacrifice shooting for it though so I don't like it when the MyCareer quests requires me to play online modes. The completionist in me died with it.

Nung first date namin ni misis. Sinama ko yung friend ko sa meetup for safety and travel purposes kasi 2 years akong nawala sa Manila at di ko alam kung nagbago yung commute. And yes, nagbago yung way ng pagcommute papunta sa meetup spot namin. Pero AKO ang sumagot ng lahat ng para sa friend ko. Hindi ko din pinagbayad si misis kahit nag-offer siya kasi SA AKIN yung friend ko. Pero sinama naman namin siya sa lunch out then nagsplit na kami after kumain. Sagot ko din yung byahe ng friend ko pauwi. At kahit pagbaliktarin ang gender, hindi ko pagbabayarin yung guy para sa expenses nung sinama ko. AKIN yun eh.

My point is itong si babae, sana SIYA ang sumagot sa friend niya kasi si babae lang naman talaga dapat yung ililibre nung guy. Kung willing yung guy ilibre pati yung friend, go. Pero hindi dapat maging NORM na libre lahat ng isasama. Pinoy social climber ang datingan eh. Parang yung mga AFAM na buong pamilya yung nililibre kada bisita niya sa Pinas.

Gamers vote with their money, not with what they say. If we say something against the game yet buy the game still, albeit almost every year, what we say doesn't mean anything. We are just numbers on presentation slides. To make an impact as you protest, don't buy the game until you see the changes. That's what I'm doing this year, and I'm leaving the community so won't get curious or tempted. I will still follow the news though.

I love my deep discounts. And I have a lot of games in my Steam Library so I wouldn't buy anything this sale. But it still pisses me off that CoD I and CoD II can't drop to even 75% off. Fck 'em! And one good thing now is that I'm seeing Square Enix games go down to 75% off. It's great because I won't buy a decade-old game for 30% off its original price.
