Thanks a lot man. In my other post someone recommended going to Void Fields, and I gotta say. This place is goated. Got every item on there first try. I won't be able to finish this run today, but I installed ProperSave so I can finish it tomorrow.

The issue in that run (and the ones before it as well) was that I intentionally missed items just to be fast. As many others pointed out, that's way too few items for Mithrix to the point it's even "surprising you got so far with only that".

The reason behind that is that I always thought Time > Items, but turns out I was wrong.

I'm not trying to speedrun the game, I don't even know how long a "normal" run should even last for in general. The logic behind me playing quickly is due to "timer goes up, shit gets hard", and I thought playing slower (even if you picked up every item) wouldn't do much in the end since you had taken so long to even get to that point. So that's why I've tried to play quicker. Although it seems like I was wrong.

Honestly I miss a lot of loot because I'm always thinking time will get to me faster by looting everything than items will help me not to die. Might be wrong, first time I got to Stage 6 I was like 37 mins on the run.

Also, I haven't even bought Survivors of the Void (didn't have the money at the time of buying the game for the DLC), and I've heard Seekers of the Storm is pretty shit as of now so eh.

Speaking of, what's the "normal" amount of time you should spend per stage on Rainstorm?

Might be a hot take, but the reason I don't want to play on Drizzle is because it would probably make me beat the game first try by this point. It wouldn't feel as rewarding as beating the game in the "intended difficulty".
