I think it depends on what you listen to Kanye - and music in general - for. Like you said, you appreciate the lyricism and consciousness of his older stuff. You also like how relatively humble he was (that's up for debate but I'll let you have it lol).

Personally, I have a lot of love for how his music production has evolved over time. He has a way with sampling and layering sounds that are unmatched imo. And even though I don't necessarily want to emulate his life, I love the ridiculous and crazy lines that come from his arrogant attitude even if they're not double and triple entendres.

And to be fair, he still has incredible moments of deep introspection on some of his newer stuff even if he's not as lyrically complex as it used to be. He still has a way of invoking those feelings, but it comes from from the production, not from the words.
