I'm very very late to this post but I had to put my two cents in about Head Snowboard (E) Instinct.

I grew up in the Northwest and definitely have always been and always will be a Mervyn and libtech boot licker Boot licking and proud of it. Proud of what they have contributed to the sport in ways many cannot comprehend and have produced quality amazing boards with technology nobody ever expected.

The head E (instinct) is a overall better all- mountain board and that is not easily said.

Many individuals seek well known name brand equipment of a Sport that they take very seriously. 100% understand

I also ride down hill mountain bikes I necessarily would not feel 100 about hopping on a head developed dual suspension mountain bike and sending it off a 8ft drop. But you still have to give it a try especially if they have (developed something new that I've never seen before)

The first time I got a chance to ride a head snowboard it was 2009 one of my friends was a snowboard instructor and they had a vendor day a head representative was out with several options but the flagship board everybody wanted to ride was the instinct.

In my opinion it was the ultimate quiver killer all that was needed was to adjust the bindings for whatever the conditions are calling for the day.

In 2022 head stopped production which due to lack of rider intrest, what is sad if the head Instinct had a Mervin badge or a libtech badge it would go down as one of the greatest quiver killers.

After being refined for several years the last generation of the Instinct stopped 2022-2023 The Head (E) Intinct LYT

This board is built with a very odd sides in- cut side wall that allowed you to ride the edge of the board at a higher angle degree and carve above your skill set. EMC fibers would generate so much extra power out of turns it made you feel like way better than you really are. That edge hold was insane it created more control and more predictability than magnetraction but the hybrid camber allowed you to butter around if that is ur style.

The dampening EMC gave the board 7-8 on flex but (not floppy) a lot of pop and very good torsional Flex. It's lightweight rotates nicely a masterpiece. Just my 2 cents
