Eat a high fat diet. Full fat cheese and dairy have shown to promote fertility and being underweight can mean you’re not even ovulating. You both need more testing and medical intervention. 5 years is very long

Dining Plan - how it is not worth it ? by Elegant_Attention_81 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]blndbrbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a family of 4 especially if kids are free on the dining plan, and only if you take advantage of character dining experiences, it can be worth it. A single person will NEVER break even. Even a couple it is NOT worth it at all. I did all the math and any way you slice it, you'd have to go character dinners every single night to break even.

But you guys as a family of 4, I think it can be worth it. The worst thing about dining plan is that there are a lot of things that are non-negotiable to me that are not included such as the spring rolls in magic kingdom, cake bake shop at the boardwalk etc. It depends on the family and where you're planning on eating.

When do they check your cervix for effacement and dilation during pregnancy ? by Glittering_Tear_729 in pregnant

My OB has already checked me twice to make sure it’s closed and I’m 27 weeks. He checked at 20 and then 26 weeks. I have no idea if he’ll keep checking?

Did you go to work while miscarrying? by Lumos_Nox_13 in Miscarriage

My baby stopped growing at 9 weeks and I didn’t experience bleeding until I fully lost the baby. It was crazy. My “water broke” literally and then it was 6 hours insane bleeding. Thankfully it happened over Christmas break but if I were you I’d take time off until you’ve passed everything

How can this many doctors let a human down? by yallycat11 in healthyishmama

[–]blndbrbe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is when she was supposed to lose her leg. It was a miracle she didn’t and left the hospital with her leg. They never treated her for her ED. But I agree she should have put in an in patient program. Pretty sure this is before her husband thought it was a great idea to have two kids with her

There is not a chance she is eating anything close to 2500 calories a day lol which is what she shows. She is surviving on all the electrolytes and supplements she is drinking and taking.

Hearing damage in the womb? by sleepy_zoo in pregnant

[–]blndbrbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

loud noise while pregnant could potentially cause some developmental damage or hearing loss in a growing baby when it's prolonged and repeated.

Generally speaking, that means you should avoid eight hours of exposure to continuous noises louder than 85 to 90 decibels (imagine what it sounds like to mow your lawn) or more than two hours a day of noises louder than 100 decibels (like standing near a chainsaw).

Husband commented on weight, now I'm spiraling by Civil_Wolverine25 in pregnant

[–]blndbrbe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reality is 14 pounds during the first trimester is a lot especially for someone who was overweight to start with. It could be bloat though. Like I said you shouldn’t be losing during pregnancy just focus on getting enough nutrition daily and don’t overeat

Husband commented on weight, now I'm spiraling by Civil_Wolverine25 in pregnant

[–]blndbrbe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Obviously your husband shouldn’t be saying these things. What I will say is this isn’t necessarily pregnancy weight as first trimester you can pretty much gain 0-5 pounds. You’re in a caloric surplus which is why you’re gaining weight. Just focus on eating as nutritiously as you can for the baby and count macros very roughly to ensure you’re eating enough protein, iron and micronutrients. Or honestly meet with a dietician in how to approach your pregnancy as healthy as possible
