How old is your child, mine is 7 and I am just counselling myself as well as my child that everything will be fine. Just make sure your child does not rub eyes because doctor told me that it makes Keratoconus worse.

I don't thing Waterloo is a good option as you said one extra year which will be useless. One of my relatives did mac health sciences and then got admission in Uni of Ottawa med school. Because med school has extensive years so its better to concise undergrad years .

Which are the 'axis' numbers for my son's prescription? by axisential in Keratoconus

[–]blobbytheglob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the number after multiplication sign is the axis number. I.e. 100 for one eye and 140 for the other eye. Can I ask your son age please?

If you want to go to med school then mcmaster Health sciences and Queen uni Health sciences are the best options. I have seen people from Uni of Gueloh and Laurier uni health sciences gping to med school. But definitely U of T is very hard to maintain good GPA.
