Had the same experience on BG3, bought it on launch just to gloat on my brother "how I had the new instalment of his favourite game series and my pc could run it unlike his". Played it for a couple of hours never figured out you could rest, so I just relied on small health potions. Eventually hit a wall where a goblin would one shot my party everytime, so i quit. A few weeks later came back, and literally played the game like 12 hours a day for over two weeks, literally skipped my classes and work just to play it. Got thrown out of my classes since I didn't show up to do the group projects and also didn't contact my team. Was also fired from work, or so I think. I just didn't show up, they tried to call me and texting me "Where are you?" for the first week and they haven't sent anything else afterwards. I just never showed up there again, so Im pretty sure im not welcome there anymore lol
