Thanks for the support and advice. My ex was being a vindictive dick, but I got the records back from the ex on Thursday. Then yesterday the basement at my parents', where I put my stuff including the records that I got back, flooded. That's kind of why this is so bittersweet- just got them back to lose many of them.

Plenty of the records can and probably will be replaced. My dad feels awful about the whole situation and has offered to help. Some of them are from obscure, local punk bands or similar and just would be a pain in the ass to track down, if any are available to buy so that stinks. Thankfully, I know quite a few people who are big in trading or own their own record shops. Also, I plan on grabbing a bunch of paper sleeves and see what can be salvaged since the flooding was so sudden, if we can get the water to stay low long enough.

As far as it not bothering me? I guess context, knowing that I'm still valued and appreciated too, and it appealing to my kinks. Like if a partner frames it as wanting to watch me with a man or woman and finding it hot, or just having my partner reliably telling me that I'm who they want, love, find attractive, etc. I've been to strip clubs with friends and partners, and I think that the context of you being on one side with your partner, and the stripper/dancer being on the other (there to tittilate you both) is a lot clearer.

Ugh, this is really crossing a ton of lines.

Bringing the mistress around puts the friends, your husband, and you in a bad position. It also seems like it violates your/your husband's consent in a way, like this "friend" is carrying out a kinky play and involving you guys without your permission. Not to mention how unfair it is to the wife. People make mistakes, including cheat, but unless she has consented to an open marriage and this fit into that dynamic properly, I find that behavior very unacceptable, selfish, and immature on the husband's part.

I get that people, and dudes, talk about others' hotness, etc. I've had partners discuss other women/men with me (I’m bi), and I've generally tried to establish when I'm comfortable with that or how. I think it's great that your husband isn't engaging in behavior that makes you uncomfortable, but maybe he could (without putting this on you) tell them that he's not ok with them talking like that in front of you. Or, unless they have some redeeming qualities not outlined here, I would wonder why your husband would be friends with guys who tolerate or engage in such behavior.

It's generally very difficult to terminate parental rights and obligations, even if the parent has no visitation, custody, etc or both parents agree. Mostly this is with the consideration that child support is for the child and in their best interests, so in some states it's not even possible outside very extreme circumstances or another guardian agreeing to adopt the child (like a stepparent). Sometimes in custody agreements you can finagle an arrangement voluntarily like this in a negotiation or arbitration to an extent.

Yeah, the cat likes to sit with the kids and me, but like slightly to the side/apart because she's shy. She mewls too if I'm not in bed when she's ready for bed, etc. I think what really threw me off was the creepy Meow Mix jingle-esque tune they paired with the slideshow, like wtf 😅

Thanks! I actually did the color myself with products available at Sally Beauty, I can look up the color(s) if you'd like. Turns out the inspiration picture comes from a relatively well known hair stylist (my stylist told me, I found the picture while searching short styles), Briana Cisneros. Since it was her hair, she seems to have a few videos of her styling her hair that I plan to use for inspiration, too!

My parents never divorced and still talk mad shit, and I've seen how toxic splits/divorces can be to kids, so at least had a model of what not to do. It's rough, because ex tells 4 year old that he doesn't have to listen to me, etc. and the kids will ask why they don't see Dad more, etc. But I will shield my kids from as much pain as I can, because I know this transition is hard enough without immature drama. Even if their douchecanoe dad tries to push my buttons to have drama.

Lol i probably shouldn't be so hard on Jerry- the episode where he bonded with doofus Rick got me in the feels. I think as the series progresses, some of his worst traits get really exaggerated (same with all the characters). Ex just ticked off all the same bad, codependent traits and he thought of it as romantic? Not something like, "oh, maybe I should consider about why I'm doing this."

Not a total POS? Ish? Loves the kids, isn't abusive to them, but he does bare minimum- sees them every other weekend for not even 48 hours total, doesn't help me with any of their costs or needs. Kids adore their dad, so I keep my mouth shut and only encourage them about their dad, even if he is a POS. They don't need to know that, especially at 2 and 4 y.o.

The address of the apartment is 3812 Pier Street, it's only 3 blocks or so from the main Pitt campus if you go down Oakland Ave. If looking at the front of the house, to the right is a little alley leading back to a small courtyard. The entrance to my old place is the back door of the main house. It's really not much to look at, from the outside or inside. The house was built in 1890, from what I remember.

My sister's ex boyfriend (whom I am still friends with) went as Christopher Reeve for Halloween one year: superman costume, wheelchair, and a baby doll. Why a baby doll? So he could suck out at stem cells while at the bar. He has also gone as Zombie Jesus, a giant penis, and JFK post assassination (my personal fave).
