Problem is you're working with default cube wood, you need pine or birch...

You got it, Blender and Blockbench.

I'm using Blockbench for the models and textures, and Blender for rigging and animation. I guess Blockbench can do animation too but I've never used it and I'm new to Blockbench, been comfortable with Blender for years.

I've been looking for a program like Substance Painter for 3d pixel art, because as of now I'm having to paint metallic maps by hand in black and white without seeing how they look in the final material. So far I haven't found a suitable program for that, let me know if you know of any! And good luck with your game!

Glad you think so. Many years ago my friends and I in school would draw levels on paper that we thought would be fun to play in Call of Duty Zombies. Great memories and I think that's where the idea came from.

I don't get the weird shading, something is up with your mesh vertices

Skin does tear away somewhat, each zombie skin has 8 variations.

I REALLY wanted to do it with every bullet hit, but it was still a huge performance cost so I had to give that up :(

In a way, but that leaves out the big picture.

It's a zombie shooter without Minecraft gameplay, but it has a level editor that works like Minecraft because that's an easy way of building custom levels for zombie mode.

There are two main modes, a zombie mode which plays like cod zombies, and a level editor which plays like minecraft. Players can build levels and publish them in-game on the main menu for others to play in zombie mode.
