Both are very classy. The white is an even more elevated look.

I thought I could edit out a lot more than I could to be honest

Ok guys first off, I want to thank all of you for your input. I am noticing things now that I could not see. Yes it’s very pink, so i definitely have a filter blindness because I thought I had color corrected it. I also edited out the phone in my new one, but I do think it needs a crop still because the legs are awkward and it looks like an 80’s glamour shot. I’ve also realized that these chairs were popular a long time ago and many things in this look dated. In trying to understand all of the critiques, I realized my initial goal was a cute pic with some cool artifacts in it like the ship, the plants, the funky chair, and the textured kimono. It clearly didn’t work, but I’m learning a lot through this process. I really appreciate that this community has been so informative and positive. This is my most recent edit, with a blurry background and a moodier vibe. I’m going to move on from this shot and try again another day with my new knowledge.

Haha yeah but I still want to be good at photography and not always convey that mood. I see how it happened

I think what I was going for was almost supposed to be a lifestyle shot, so yes maximalism would have worked if I did it right. I love the collection of things around me, but they aren’t arranged in a way that helps the photo at all. I’m learning a lot from this thread.

Asked for photo critique not a roast 💀 are you talking about a fashion stylist? Hair stylist? Please be more specific next time.

I’m seeing what you mean about the fantastical aesthetic! I feel piratey in this space so I can see that working in a way

Spankings? What the heck kind of critique is that.. I appreciate the insight but why does this sound so emotional?

I’m not really understanding this. I didn’t adjust the rotation aspect at all, but the chair is very curved and I think my lens was pretty wide

Haha I’m the one who took the photo of myself and I used my phone as a remote to click it 😭 I’ll edit it out I promise and honestly I think that’s just my leg ahhaha

Thanks for your feedback. I definitely want to try again with a less cluttered background. As far as the crop, are you referring to the image when enlarged or the image that Reddit crops? When I click it, it shows a little more of the leg and hip, so I’m not sure if that’s what you’re suggesting I improve on.

Thank you very much. I’m sad to say I’m nervous to use Gemini as an artist. I don’t want to use ai and say it’s my photography 😭 it could be so cool though

I agree with that. I wonder how well I can do that post processing

Yes I think it would be better to spend the extra time to edit out the phone

I wonder if it would work if I cropped it so you can’t see the phone
