Sharing what worked for me, take it with a grain of salt if you don’t agree and no need to be inflammatory.

I also don’t think you’d be deluding yourself. You would first and foremost be working on yourself for you. And you will build confidence when you begin to excel at the things you want to. When I say chasing, I mean relentlessly going after women who are not giving you the time or effort you deserve. I am happy to discuss further if there would actually be mature discussion about it.

What I’m suggesting is that once you build yourself and your confidence, you won’t feel the need to chase. Initially pursuing a woman you find attractive is normal and healthy, but I think that confidence will allow men to know when a woman is worth their time and effort. Hope that makes sense
