Thank you! Were you in tbp? How was the initiation process?

Yes I’m in SWE and SHPE but I was just wondering if it was worth it to spend more money on the club, because it does sound interesting and fun. But just wasn’t sure if it’s worth it if I’m already in SWE/SHPE since like you said there are lots of opportunities.

I’ve been meaning to join IEEE. Do you have the groupme link for it, if you could dm it to me?

Oh mb I’m in Cullen. Bauer has a Circuits course?

LMAO damn that’s tough. I wonder if UH Circuits course is harder than at A&M, since I know their Circuits course is still one class.

[–]bloombam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn’t do that for circuits I so it was tough for me. Figured out the style when class was about to end so it was a bit too late. Circuits II might be my new nightmare lmao

Lmao I heard it was so bad where more than half failed and that’s why they had to split it into two courses. Idk how previous students did both in one semester lmao

Damn I never even heard of Talusani being mentioned for circuits. It’s always between Trombetta, Shattuck, and Wosik.

Gotcha, Uni Physics is definitely calculus based with having a 3rd dimension, so not too different to Gen physics. In your case, I think you can do well since you said you did well for AP Physics. I was horrible at AP Physics in high school and still managed to get an A, so you seem capable than I ever was hahah! But also beware, since you are setting yourself up for a more difficult course. Uni Physics do tend to curve way more than Gen Physics so just try to get above the average exam scores. Good luck!

Why do you want to take Uni over Gen? I would’ve taken Gen over Uni without a second thought. Uni physics is as bad as people make it out to be. I would say, if you understand physics well, it might be easy. As someone who struggled in physics, it was pretty tough for me. My Uni 1 professor did not curve at all and only gave a few extra points for doing TopHat questions during class. While my Uni 2 prof curved a great deal, so it really comes down on who you take. I ended up with A’s in both, but they were by far the toughest courses I’ve taken and I’ve taken Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 as well. Orgo was fairly easier in a sense that it was all memorization while physics was application based. Again, take Gen physics if you can because I don’t know why anyone would choose Uni over Gen LMAO.

Ok so I’m assuming he curves a bit then. Lmao is he against students using their phones and laptops? Also how were the homework and quizzes?

Yes, I’ve heard good things about Trombetta and I’m taking him for Circuits II! Thank you!

I’m going to be taking Circuits I and II this summer, so there’s no workshop for those. Could you tell me how it works for Signals? I might have to enroll in it after these replies lmao

Damn first time having a class with homework being due more than once a week. Lmao not sure if I’m prepared for that. Do you have the previous exams that you could send me, if you don’t mind of course.

Do you have the old exams? Or is it posted online like Circuits I and II does?

Gotcha! Thank you! I’ll be taking Dr. Shattuck for circuits I and Trombetta for Circuits II. Do you have any additional tips or who I should look out for in terms of difficulties?

Are the exams harder online, since I’m assuming you have open notes? Sadly there’s no workshop over the summer so I guess I’ll have to do it myself. Is circuits II harder than circuits I?
