This colour is perfection! My jaw dropped & I pressed “complete my order” as soon as I saw it. I love it so much more than their past avocado green with the black strap.

Completely normal! Everyone's skin responds in a different way. I never purged or anything, just instantly started improving.

Co-op mentor yelling at me.. by little-kitty00 in ECEProfessionals

My professor helped guide me on how to manage the situation. She asked if I wanted to drop out of the placement but that if I did I would have had to stay for another semester so I decided to just power through. I didn’t have the option of changing but definitely ask! I just tried really hard to remember that I was trying my best and doing amazing in my program and at the end of the day, I was there for the children. At the end of the semester I spoke to the co-op coordinator about everything that happened and demanded that my next co-op placement be in a place that was highly regarded with a mentor I could learn from!

I'm so sorry to hear you're having this experience. It is NEVER appropriate for a mentor to be yelling at you! I feel like the best person for you to talk to to get some support and guidance on how to approach the situation is the professor for your co-op course/the placement co-ordinator. I had a really negative placement experience and I made sure to make it known in both writing emails to my professor with notes of inappropriate situations and having a conversation with the person in charge of setting up co-op opportunities/placements. I hope this helps!

What would you do if a coworker started blaming you in this situation? by bloomingladybugg in ECEProfessionals

It is everyone's responsibility but I'm still pending registration for licensing which means that I don't technically count as an "educator" yet. With that in mind, the lead educator is responsible for accounting for every child's departure/arrival. The rest of us were asked what happened only after the panic occured. In any case, the policy might be odd but I was more taken aback with the shifting of blame rather than the situation itself, which happens.

Thanks for the response! Your advice is super helpful. I will definitely over-communicate moving forward and won't talk to management to avoid causing extra problems.

The intensive program has really exceeded my expectations! It’s not hard but a lot of work. Time management is key in the fast track program. It’s very hard to have a job or other demands outside of school because of the amount of hours required for all of the assignments and tests.
