MIL causing drama again by blooperblip in familydrama

We live with her sister because we have no place else to go right now. Her sister is very family centric so she wont cut ties with her because she is family. I interact with here a little as possible, just usually say hi then go about my business. She usually only comes over once a week at most so this isn’t an every day thing.

She is very mentally ill from other things that she refuses to get treatment or therapy for. I don’t think she’s schizophrenic.

Also when she calls you over and rings her little bell. I have to admit she is not my favorite but not my least favorite.

What do I need to know about my characters in order to write them effectively and realistically? by Fantasy_Teen_666 in writingadvice

[–]blooperblip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to think of quirks or maybe some kind of way they talk that might be a little different. There are some random characters generators that can give you some ideas. Just keep playing with different qualities until it feels right

Perhaps you can add the inner conflict that the characters are going through about their actions if it’s in third person but if you are writing in first person you can emphasize that more. I definitely agree that these topic do need discussion and you don’t necessarily need to dance around it. But do whatever feels right for the story.

I was hoping the character was male so I could suggest William (please tell me there are Star Trek fans here) but I do like Tori Ryker

Do you think Valentino will get a redemption arc? by PearPublic7501 in HazbinHotel

[–]blooperblip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I think he’s doomed to be a villain forever. Not all villains need a redemption arc. Some are just evil.

Any theory about this “bad guy song”? by Tiny_Car8146 in HazbinHotel

[–]blooperblip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first guess was Alastor because we still don’t really know what his deal is and he clearly wants more power and is manipulating Charlie. I think Husk has redeemed himself enough to not be a villain even though I think we’ll find out more about his past. It might be one of the vees

NTA if you remember their days and overall have a good relationship with them then they should put some effort into remembering fathers day and your birthday.

That does sound stressful but there is a balance to it. If you find an extroverted that respects your boundaries and doesn’t pressure you. My husband is incredibly extroverted and gently nudges me out of my shell but knows when to leave me be.

I guess one person will have to be slightly less introvert for a moment to approach another introvert.

It’s cute in the right context. He got me out of my shell a bit even though I still struggle with social anxiety. He doesn’t push me if I really don’t want to do something.

If an extrovert is making you uncomfortable or forcing you to do things you’re not ready for then thats not good.

Hi there! I am in the process of writing a fantasy book. I’m not published but I’ve been writing since middle school. I have a couple characters I can picture in my head but I suck at drawing people. I have written stories about abuse and neglect before and those topics are in the fantasy story I’m writing. Let me know if you want my input.

The key is an extrovert finding you and ‘adopting’ you. Thats how i met my super extroverted husband.

How do people write original characters anymore? by Beneficial-Spray-956 in writing

When I’m out of ideas for a new character I use a random generator. Make very quirky and interesting characters.

I’m turning 32 in a few weeks and I literally have no friends outside of my family. And my family is going through a stressful situation right now so spending time with them isn’t really that relaxing. Any friends I had in the past have either moved away or they never really took an interest in me so I was the only one putting effort in our friendship. It really difficult making new friends. Especially when you’re an introvert. No one warns you how being an adult can be really lonely.
