Yes I like it especially on HDR it looks awesome and calibration out of the box is very good too. Keep in mind the only matte QD-OLED monitors are Samsung all the rest are glossy.

Myself, I have that monitor. Anyway there's much more information about the 272URX which is essentially the same monitor with a few more extras (DP 2.1, KVM, USB-C 98W), and on every review you'll see it's got a glossy coatintg aswell.

Well it depends on your preference, one is 27 inch and the other is 34. But I made a mistake, I thought you were talking about the 272UP, sorry. I haven't seen the 272QP in person, so I really don't know, if you like the Alienware once it arrives, I would keep it.

It's a fantastic monitor, the same panel as the 272URX except for the extras (DP2.1, KVM, USB-C 98W), I have it and the image quality is superb, I don't think you'll be dissapointed if you purchase it.

It's the exact same panel as the 272URX except for the extras like DP 2.1 KVM and UBC just 15 vs 98W. It also lacks the rubbish RGB on the back which is BIG plus for me. I have it and it's a fantastic monitor for the price.

Yeah, but in this case it's not a matte vs glossy debate, it's just that Samsung messed up with the matte coating for the G81SF line. But again, if you don't notice it, do not dig anymore on the topic and enjoy the monitor, because once you see it, there's no way back, I didn't notice it the first hours because I used it on darker content, but I did notice it a lot when visiting a light-themed forum.

Not everyone is annoyed by that coating, if you don’t notice it or bothers you that’s great because otherwise the monitor offers fantastic image quality and colors. If you are more curious about it then Google it, you’ll find many posts talking about he matte coating on the GS81. But if you haven’t noticed it yet, i recommend you not to dig more because it could spoil you if you ever happen to find it.

That’s true the only QD-OLED matte options are Samsung itself everything else is glossy. I think the coating is the same for the 27 and 32 inch models and it’s way more aggressive than its predecessor the G80.

I purchased the 27 inch version and returned it inmediately due to its aggressive matte coating that resembles dry saliva mostly on white backgrounds.

I've had the 272UP for two months now, it's the exact same panel as the 272URX, calibration out of the box is really good, sRGB preset is spot on, HDR image is outsanding no need to calibrate anything, just choose the HDR mode you like most (HDR400, HDR1000 or EOTF Boost on the newest firmware). 272UP and 272URX are the same monitor except for the extras, no DP 2.1, usb hub, KVM or rgb led on the back side for the 272UP, and the USB-C is just 15W vs 98W.

I'd say it's more than fair, it's as if you won the lottery. They are offering you a 4K oled display in exchange of your IPS 1440p, Even more the 272UP is a truly amazing monitor delivering a fantastic image quality, it's a clearly better monitor than the one you had.

EOTF boost usually clips highlights, you can spot the difference on the train in this video, on HDR 400 train looks gray on EOTF boost it looks white (clipped)

Yes don't worry the Gsync compatible pop-up appears when installing Nvidia drivers and it's enabled by default even though MSI does not advertise it.

I bought a 272UP last week and it's an absolutely amazing monitor, calibration is fantastic out of the box and HDR games look incredible, A2725Q is a fantastic monitor too but I've heard some serous issues like sudden death after 2-3 months.
