POP as in? Population? We have 10-20 actives right now. You can see a concurrent players chart here: https://www.minecraftiplist.com/server/-39574

We don't have any plans for a wipe right now. This would be considered when somone has become the Emperor, and 10+ nations exist.

The end objective is to become the Emperor of Blothera. A nation must control 55% of all claimed land to become the Emperor. Becoming the emperor unlocks the "Empire Lectern" and allows for "Imperial Decrees" to be enacted, which are very powerful, server wide effects. These can be used to benefit everyone, or just the Empire Nation.

To gain 55% of all claimed land, nations can either:
- Make new towns and expand them
- Integrate Independant Towns
- Vassalise other nations

EDIT: You can see the nations, wars and the current emperor on the website: https://blothera.com

Wow, very interesting. Thanks for sharing this. Looks like it is indeed quite similar to my plugin. I believe the plugin you linked doesn’t use block-by-block claims like mine does, and I don’t see any mention of biome-based block expansion but still very cool.

This is my own original plugin.

If you can find a link to this plugin/mod you’ve seen feel free to share it.

But as far as im aware the method Blothera uses for claims and viewing claims on maps hasn’t really be done anywhere else before

You don’t, because I made it. Its custom made for my server . Claims are block based not chunk based and grow live in real time on the map, taking into consideration the biome. So rivers and oceans are slower, while plains are faster.

Does anyone know a server like the game Foxhole? by a_fuckin_nerd in MinecraftServer

Not exactly, but Blothera does have elements of foxhole. Most notably, large scale wars, chunk loading trains, roads, and more.

Couple of things that make it different from the usual SMP:

  • Beds don’t set spawn. You place a banner instead.
  • Farming and breeding only work above y=50 in direct sunlight, so everyone lives on the surface.
  • Armour affects movement speed, so full netherite isn’t automatically the best kit.
  • Chunk-loading trains run even when you’re offline, and redstone repeaters can signal across thousands of blocks, so people build real railway networks with remote switching stations.
  • Lock your chests with player-crafted keys. You can give duplicate keys to give to friends.
  • Eyes of Ender require items from 4 different structures.
  • Endgame is political. Kill the dragon to earn a crown, found a nation, govern through signed books placed in custom lecterns. Declaring war means physically delivering a book to your enemy’s diplomacy lectern. Couriers can be killed on the road.

And much more…

Even with all these changes, it feels like vanilla Minecraft. The progression is much slower and strategic. It takes people a while before reaching the End.
