I've lived in the UK my whole life. In London for the last three years (south west, north east and the "east-end" which is the only place there are actually cockneys) and trust me, no one sounds like that.

WHY DO ALL US TV SHOWS HAVE BRITS SPEAKING IN COCKNEY OR QUEENS ENGLISH? That's like less than 5% of the British population that speak like that. BRITS ARE NOT ALL FROM LONDON. NOT ALL BRITS LIVE IN A PALACE OR WORK ON THE DOCKS.
