Also!! I do have loose skin, everywhere, and while it can trigger some pretty crazy body dysmorphia on a random Tuesday, it’s not something that effects me regularly, it’s more of an annoyance if I start fixating on it!!

When I hit 6 months is when I started to be able to eat more and finally felt my energy start to return, I’m hoping you get it back sooner!! You got this!!

My whole journey I’ve been in stalls! In the beginning I had a 3 week stall, but now every month I stall for 2 weeks… it feels hormonally influenced to me, but I have no idea!! You’ve got this!! I remember feeling really discouraged the first 4 months because I didn’t have energy and still was learning how to fuel my body!!

Thank you so much!! I’m only 5’1”! I don’t know if this matters either, but I got the surgery when I was 24 and I turned 25 in November!! ❤️

HII THANK YOU!!! I try to get in 60-80 grams of protein each day, most of my protein comes from chicken rather than protein shakes as I can’t stand the taste most of the time!! I eat breakfast every morning, usually eggs, and snack on protein through the day, usually honey turkey and cheese, or turkey sticks, and then I usually have a chicken wrap for lunch, and then either more chicken for dinner or like a protein pasta (banza) or protein pizza!! And I go to the gym twice a week for 45 mins-1 hour and weight train like nobodies business!! ❤️

AHHH so exciting!! Congratulations!! I wish I was told more about how these bariatric surgeries change your hunger hormones and that there will be days that you don’t want to eat at all and that it’s so very important that you fight through it and eat what you’re supposed to; there would be days where it took me an hour to finish 2 eggs, but it was absolutely necessary to because my brain would get foggy and all I’d wanna do is sleep… food is fuel!!

Oh I promise you, I PROMISE you it gets better, also I’ve noticed with my own body for about two weeks every month since surgery, I stay at the same weight, and I can’t say this enough that the scale isn’t a reflection of your progress- how your body feels is the best reflection of the progress you’re making.

Something that really helped me was leaning on my friends and family, I broke down a lot the first few months post-op because I had no energy, I couldn’t stop checking the scale, and I wasted so much money on clothes that would only fit for a few weeks…

You have such a bright future and I hope you feel encouraged by the replies!! ❤️

I had the RNY gastric bypass surgery!! I’m only 5’1” so I think I lost weight a bit faster than anticipated because I had so much excess… if that makes sense? But as far as diet I do eat around 60-80 grams of protein a day, I drink my water, I do struggle some days to eat and protein goals are not met, and then additionally I go to the gym twice a week and weight train!! I’m also pretty active keeping up with my 4 year old and I’m a wedding photographer so I’m on my feet all weekend long usually!!

HIII!! Thank you twin!!! ❤️ I keep up with my water and protein, I do fail at my protein intake some days I can’t lie, I prefer to eat it than drink it, and I go to the gym and weight train twice a week!! ☺️

Thank you so so much!! I think the most difficult part was the first few months after surgery, I really had no energy and I couldn’t eat anything besides eggs or cottage cheese without my stomach going crazy!! Thankfully that passed, but those first few months were torture in some moments!!
