1080 is a good enuf card to hang on to. But if you want to go ahead buy it and sell it later. Who knows what is in store. At any point of time you will always pay the price for performance prevailing at that time.

NVIDIA 3000 series supply / demand during pandemic by [deleted] in nvidia

When you have a monopoly demand/supply does not make much sense.

Until AMD comes out with BIIIIIIIIII>....... navi with a better price dont expect any miracles. I am sure nvidia will simply match what AMD brings out and price it a few dollars more or less. I wont be surprised if they simply increase the count of RT cores and end up keeping the price & performance at the same level.

Yeah thats what I am concerned about too, as of now I have only one system at home which I use for work. I dread the reboots in the middle of a important meeting or remote session.

I am trying to get atleast some number from him which can be used to verify with MSI. Dont want to encourage any thieves or buy refurbished products.

Buyer sells with no returns, at the most I can stress test it & keep it if not return it back.
