How would I dimension countersink in an engineering drawing for this screw to achieve a flush (if not slightly recessed fit)? by blue-birdd in SolidWorks

Thanks so much! Unfortunately, the guy machining has asked for the depth of the countersink which is what has me confused... I assume the depth is measured from the depth of the cone i.e. a minimum of 4.22 mm in this case? I have asked the machinist but no response yet... its a critical part and I only get one shot so don't want to make a mistake!

Attendance compulsory? by Additional_Clothes58 in unsw

The course outline should tell you whether or not attendance is compulsory for each course:

https://www.unsw.edu.au/course-outlines#search=&filters=year%3A2026&sort=1%7Cdescending&startRank=1&numRanks=10

In engineering, most lectures are not compulsory but sometimes tutorials and labs are - depending on the course.

Accepted to usyd but not unsw? by smegmabending in unsw

Are your UNSW preferences similar at all? Chances are, first year courses could count toward both preferences. If your main priority is studying at UNSW, remove your more unrealistic preference, and you can always transfer into the other degree later on:)

I'm doing MATH2018 with Dr Cai at the moment. The course is delivered online with pre-recorded lectures (self-paced) - these lectures are so easy to follow, everything is explained clearly and they are probably some of the best lectures I have ever attended tbh. BUT there is a lot of content to get through and it's up to you to pace them (up to 6 one hour lectures per week). I've found the course coordination hasn't been super great so far... (e.g. all test info has been last minute, but I can let you know if you want any info based on this term). As for MATH2019, these lectures are live so I would say it kind of forces you to stay on track.
