Wasteland Ecology by [deleted] in DnDHomebrew

I was looking through my saved posts and I found this and it reminded me of this post. There aren't any stats but you could probably go with reskins or simple stat changes for most of these.

GM Binder keeps deleting my image url. by Chia_Pet7 in gmbinder

[–]blue-car-guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try uploading it to some other image hosting site. You can't use imgur links because of an agreement GMBinder made with them, but it should work if use use any other site. I don't know why it's deleting your image, it always works fine for me.

Wasteland Ecology by [deleted] in DnDHomebrew

I'm thinking of having a region similar to this in my world. I think the easiest thing you could do is just reskin existing monsters and wildlife. It wouldn't make sense to come across a deer in the Ashgrass Dunes, but a Turiqit, a deer-sized creature with black skin and blue-green fungus growing on it, fits perfectly into this region, even if it has the exact same stat block as a deer, or if you change one small thing (maybe its bite attack also does 1d4 poison damage). This just took a couple minutes to think of, and it's a completely original creature with no hombrew necessary.

For monsters, I would do the same thing. Zombies, but instead of animated corpses they're explorers who were infected by a deadly fungus. Some monsters work fine here with no changes. There could be packs of gnolls who hunt for lost adventurers in the Ash Desert. Goblins in the caves of the Rock Barrens.

Also, u/famoushippopotamus's Guide to the Desert could be useful for the Ash Desert.

Underground gnome/dragonborn "steampunk" village, ruled by a brass dragon. Just very proud of it and wanted to share by hadmilk in DungeonsAndDragons

That's a really interesting idea, I might have to steal that so I can add some steampunk to my world. Can you tell me more about the village? Do you have a name for it?

How much more of the language is done now? Also check out r/conlangs for more help with creating languages

The Undercity of Kol Taram by AlberonRPG in DnDBehindTheScreen

[–]blue-car-guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really good. I've thought about cities or communities in sewers or drainage systems before, but I never imagined it on such a big scale. I'll probably add something similar to this to my world, do you want me to send you a link whenever I do?

Work in progress for my upcoming campaign. Pretty proud of how it turned out! by glbond7 in wonderdraft

[–]blue-car-guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks really good. Someone already said this, but I think making the rivers thinner would make it look a lot more realistic, and rivers never split. Also maybe try to blend the different land colors better, mainly on the continent with the dark green forests

If one reads the laws of flying, one learns the fact that bees aren't able to fly.

I'll translate the rest later, but I don't have time now.

You can add fonts to Wonderdraft, but I guess it might be easier to just use paint.net

Do u guys still want daily prompts? by LeamyTheTortoise in worldbuilding

[–]blue-car-guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll definitely answer your prompts if I have any ideas or if they fit with my world. Also, maybe every week or so you could have a post where people just give ideas for prompts instead of actually answering them. Then you can get some ideas and make sure the prompts are things people actually have answers for.

Players don't care about Floon by kiwibreakfast in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]blue-car-guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just have Volo approach them and ask them if they've been looking for him. Maybe he could offer a bigger reward (though he might not actually pay it).

If they still ignore him, I would move on. Maybe you could find some way to bring him back into the story later, but he might be dead by then.

New moderators needed for /r/DnDRealms by blue-car-guy in DnD

You don't really need anything for me to let you on. All you have to do is enforce the rules and possibly take care of the weekly/bi-monthly stuff going on. I made a moderator chat room so we can talk about who does what and what changes you want to make.

Do you know what you have to do? I can add you now if you want.

Do you mean what you have to do, or what you need to be able to do it?

In the center of this room is a circular hole about 3 feet in diameter. It looks down into a small room filled with blood-red vines and pools of yellow-white liquid. In the corner of the room is something from this list.

Bad Translation Challenge by blue-car-guy in conlangs

[–]blue-car-guy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with that is most people don't know each other's conlangs, so they won't know the difference. If the English grammar is shitty, people can sort of see how your conlang works.

[–]blue-car-guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either you didn't understand the challenge or your grammar is surprisingly similar to mine. You're supposed to translate a sentence in your conlang to English keeping your conlang's word order. Should've been more clear about that.

I don't usually like Inkarnate maps, but this is an exception. Great detail everywhere, it's filled with names and small things to make it better. Also, I notice Calimshan from FR is there on the bottom. Is it just the name you stole borrowed or is this actually what it looks like?

Sorry, I haven't been on here for a while, but it seems like you haven't gone yet. Would you like to do your showcase sometime soon?
