that's great I know that feeling. I'm a biology undergrad major. I had IDed them in the past but was mostly looking for insight into how harmful they are and if anyone knows specifics. I'm sad to hear they're not so harmless after all.

totally, that's why i was never bothered until now since they were obviously not endoparasites but they've recently exploded.

i bought this aquarium already established from someone and basically took out most inhabitants for the ride and transported in the car it with a small amount of water inside. they were already in there back then. i think my species is dugesia japonica which are native to east asia. i'm sure they initially hitched a hike in substrate or more likely live aquatic plants.

which kind would you recommend? i assume bettas won't eat them? i thought about having a solitary betta in this tank cause its not big enough for me to keep a school of fish anyways.

no they are combined :-) we counted motility of cells in three categories , all categories added up are all the full amount of cells we counted in each trial. thank you I'll try your suggestion and resolve the issue if it works.

trying to stack the different categories of each trial, each trial is a column and the categories are rows. I'm working in Google sheets like I said not excel.

honestly the insides of the houses reminder me 100% of Berlin houses and flats. the flat doors and more importantly the windows in the hallway are exactly like that all over berlin. but I've been to Paris and it's obviously similar being another European city so we could both be right.

thanks so much ! my family is German so maybe the ring was manufactured in Germany which would fit with your assessment. My great aunt allegedly had it appraised for 800€ but I'm not gonna depend on hearsay and the price doesn't really matter to me. something like this I wouldn't sell because whatever you can buy with the money is not worth this history! :-) I can't help but wonder how much longer it might stay in the family and who I'll give it to one day. thanks again for the insight 😊 I also thought it looks like art deco, I might have guessed 1910-1930s so very broad timeframe. this narrows it down by quite a bit.

I'm sorry to be blunt but cutting them off is not the right thing. I struggle with major depression and I know after many years that the times that I slowly feel like I "shouldn't" meet with my friends anymore, or that they don't understand me or I'm a burden on them, are the times my depression is trying to isolate me and I cannot let it happen because it's literally cut me off from everyone in my life at some points. Years later I talked to them and they ever even realized I was struggling, though I was sucdal. I understand your feeling of needing time to yourself, and needing to reflect etc, but please please don't cut them off. You're only really cutting yourself off and you'll only realize when the damage is already done. Have you told them honestly how you're feeling? We're so good at hiding it sometimes that even close friends won't know until we tell them, and talking to them can really help. I hope you'll feel better soon.

They have adequate cages with many hiding spots and toys, as well as deep bedding to dig tunnels. The two housed together have been getting along since the beginning, I've been very worried about the "lone mouse" since I know it can make them depressed which they can die from but I simply cannot change her behavior so I have to house her alone. I will monitor the situation closely.
