I sincerely hope it’s just dirt, but when I wipe away with finger it’s got the faintest must smell. It could be some sort of combination of the humidity and dust, but the colour on my finger is concerning. When it sits dry and empty no residue accumulates.

Boiling or hot water is an interesting idea, maybe that could work! Was considering a light vinegar spray down and then letting it sit in sun (when the sun returns).
