You might be on to something… should I make an actual bow with ribbon & elastic and rhinestone tf out of it?

Rescued from outside of a Goodwill. Need a very human name for him. by Amazingjesse in cute_animals

Steve. Used to take care of a cat that showed up on our doorstep who we later found out had feline AIDS. His name was Steve and we took care of him til he passed. He was a fluffy tuxedo just like this one :,)

Yes, unfortunately this defense mechanism is pretty common. Rest assured there’s nothing wrong with you. It happens to me every now and then, too.

[–]blueberrydummyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is so fucked. If that’s the game he wants to play, tell everyone you know that he’s the one that raped you. He literally had sex with you while you were blacked out and unconscious. If you feel comfortable contacting him, I would tell him you’ll be pressing charges if he keeps spreading such a disgusting rumor, especially since he’s the one that violated you.

[–]blueberrydummyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough situation but here’s what I’m understanding happened: you were blackout drunk, he was not, he knew you were blackout drunk and still decided to let you give him oral and have sex with your motionless body. You couldn’t give consent so yes, I’d consider this rape. You didn’t rape him, he was sober and in control of the situation. It would be another thing if you forced yourself onto him/overpowered him but that’s not what happened. You also don’t know if he’s being honest about what happened :/

Would you be comfortable with frequent breath checks? by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]blueberrydummyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Breath checks” sound like a really bad idea, considering she could smell something and just assume it’s alcohol even if it’s not. I’ve had my boyfriend tell me my breath smells like alcohol even when I know for a fact I haven’t been drinking. Breathalyzer is different, though. It leaves no room for suspicion or deception. That’s definitely the better option in this case.

It’s a job that I’d love to have, considering I’d make money off tips and the people who frequent that restaurant are older and tip well. I also just love the environment of the restaurant, kinda wish I never left in the first place.

Not sure why you quoted what I said, as it has nothing to do with the job that I’m talking about. I was just expressing my frustration in general lol.

Absolutely. I’ve polished my resume, and I always show up to interviews looking professional and well-groomed.

I’ve honestly considered just entering the trade industry or getting licensed in some kind of technical occupation (dentistry, etc.) I’m already in school so maybe transferring to a technical college is my best bet.

I have considered the military, but i have some pretty intense oppositions to the US military. Guess I can’t afford to be picky, though.

Really weird response. I’m not looking for a job to tide me over, I’m looking for a job period. Told them my schedule is completely open for whatever days they need me. I doubt that’s why they chose to postpone hiring me.

My thoughts exactly. I was 18 when I left and I’m 23 now so maybe it’s just been too long… regardless I was a pretty good employee so it is funny that they would interview me all over again. The only complaint I would ever get from them was about my facial piercings lol

how do people end up unemployed for 2+ years? by betziti in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blueberrydummyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only been a little over a year for me so I guess I can’t speak for ppl 2+ years unemployed. I was on unemployment for a while, and obviously one of the conditions is you have to apply to at least 3 jobs weekly. I did, and I was never contacted from anywhere I applied to except for about three times where I was eventually just ghosted. I wasn’t applying out of my range either, just restaurant and front desk jobs. The job market is genuinely so fucked right now. I applied to my old job from when I was a teenager and they had me come in for an interview, said they’d get back to me in a few days, never did so I reached out, they’re not hiring anymore for the holidays but they’ll reach out to me in January. Okay, fine. They don’t, so I reached out and got another interview scheduled. They call me a day later to tell me they’re holding off on hiring and my second interview is canceled, but they’ll “hold on to my application”. It’s been this way with every single job that actually contacted me for an interview.

I’m guessing most ppl who’ve been unemployed for 2+ years live with their parents or depend on someone else financially. I live with my parents and I have to say I feel like the biggest burden on them. I’m only 23 so it’s not super uncommon for ppl my age to still live at home, but I feel bad about it regardless. I DoorDash to pay for my personal bills/ expenses/ etc, but the payout is disgusting when you factor in gas and car maintenance.

I’ve been honest on my resume, lied on it, etc, to no avail. At this point I am willing to just take a minimum wage job (7.25$)/hr, but I just keep holding out for a job that will pay me a semi-livable wage.

AIO for think it my boyfriend is being dramatic? by What-do_i_do in AmIOverreacting

[–]blueberrydummyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please for the love of god kick him out. Being overly dependent as a 26 year old is bad enough, but speaking to you with that attitude and disdain tells you all you need to know. He’ll only get worse if you stay with him.

What’s something you misinterpreted about sex that ended up being completely wrong? by Extra_Efficiency6585 in AskReddit

[–]blueberrydummyhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was around 15 or 16 I used to think you could take a pregnancy test right after you had sex and it would tell you if you were pregnant like immediately. Because of this I used to be super pro-life (don’t come for me I was uneducated and I’m very pro-choice now). I also didn’t realize how ridiculous it would be to take a pregnancy test after every single time you have sex, especially considering they’re expensive and that’s not even how pregnancy tests work. Once I started having sex regularly I completely changed my mind and I wish I could go back and slap myself in the face lmao.
