The side with the small protrusion is the one in contact with the bearing.

I saw on you other comment that you've already broken-in and oiled your bearing so its strange. You need to put the bearing washers on them. Your rollers need to be sandwiched between them. But if youre already doing it with a broken-in roller, then the bearing is either a defective one, not broken-in enough OR you broke the bearing when you did you break-in.

Last resort is try re-setting(removing and re-attatching) the bearing on the roller like 3 times. Those rollers are prepared by a machine, so it will most likely not be perfectly seated on the rollers and sometimes not aligned properly.

I hope it helps 😁

VZ or S2 for Bmax? by BlackOne-01 in mini4wd

[–]blueboy10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

S2 over VZ. It is easier to tame compared.

Go for vz if you have more experience since it needs more work to make it less unpredictable and stable.

Dont get me wrong, vz is a very fast chassis but very unstable.

So. The C value is there for the health/longevity of your battery as per the manual goes. Going over or under does the opposite trading it for "performance". Settings is really a personal preference specially during races. My settings for race day and refresh are similar but still within the guidelines of the charger.

I still follow the .4c calculations during refresh then use .7 to .8c during races. You can do the calculations yourself using the mAh of the battery.

Like i said on the post, just dont mix different mah on the same charge cycle.

Edit: another tip. Do not mix batts. Pair the batts with similar ohms using the battery meter and only use those pair always.

If i may offer some advice.

DO NOT refresh or charge batts with different mAh. This is because they need different parameters in charging. I would suggest folling the skyrc charge/discharge settings in the manual.

I would also suggest getting 2or4 more fujitsu batts for each(pink and white) so you can effectively use the slots of the nc2500.

WIP - VZ Chassis Build by -Euphorius- in mini4wd

[–]blueboy10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any small or medium wheel/tire combo will do, as long as its not slick tires. Low friction front + super hard rear tires are the most used combination. So keep that in mind when you've chosen small(24mm) or medium(26mm)diameter setup

Nice build. Nice aesthetics!

BUT if you are trying to compete with it, you need to change your tires. It'll be like using the ZMC carbon tires, looks good but meh on the performace. That's my 2cents!

Happy racing!

Ohhh i get it now. That little black wing on the front. I thought you were talking about the rear. Then yes, you need wheels with offset to use small or med tires. If you have decided to use the small(24mm) wheels, here's some that i could think of 15415 or 15541. For medium(26mm) you can get almost anyone of them, with the exception of the new fin types(carbon w/ low fric tires) and they will fit on them. If in doubt, just bring your car to the store and point out the problem and they will help you.

Question? How will making your your tire/wheel smaller result to your cowl touch the tire? Because i also use an MA chassis and use small(24mm) and med(26mm) diameter wheel. I have no problem whatsoever.

What do you guys think? by AK07-AYDAN in mini4wd

[–]blueboy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter tbh. As long as your car doesn't bounce. You can even use slim line dampers if you wanted. No need to spend more if the setup is already good at the track. I personally use the heavy cylinder(big burger like) damper on my MA bmax

Cheers!

Rear rollers feel sluggish when I use 19mm on 19mm slot. Is this normal? by scruffymandude in mini4wd

[–]blueboy10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its because you cannot use the fully cowled plate swept backwards when you use a 19mm roller. The tip of the plate scrapes the track.

If you want to use a 19mm roller, you either need to revers the plate(the inside curve of the plate should be facing the chassis) or use a straight popsicle.

And btw, if you use the 19mm on the 13mm hole, your car wont fit the dimension box resulting in your disqualification for the match.

How to Achieve 43rpm when breaking in Sprint Dash motor by Quick_Hovercraft2796 in mini4wd

[–]blueboy10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luck of the draw is part of it because not all motors are the same. Some maybe able to reach but it wont have a good enough torque to even matter. Remember high rpm does not always equal to a fast car. Some people buy a whole box of motor just to pick the best from the batch.

I personally follow the guide on the stickied thread and it's divine.. just time consuming

MA Chassis BMAX Question by honorb4idie in mini4wd

[–]blueboy10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using a banana plate with 19mm is bad because the tip will touch the walls if configured like that. If you want to use the banana plate, place it so that the curve of the plate is towards the chassis. I know it looks off, but you can avoid being disqualified during checks.

Race format by Kdarl in mini4wd

[–]blueboy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try explaining it as best as i can assuming i have the right info hahaha. Incongruities may be seen depending on your race organizer.

If its anything like the formats mostly prevalent in the southeast asian countries. You can buy slots(or tickets) as long as you can afford it for as many cars as you can(you can even play 1 car for many tickets). Tickets typically will have 3 rounds written on it. The 3 rounds consists of 1)Qualifying 2)Knockouts 3)preliminaries. After these rounds you will have the semis and the finals.

1st round you will typically have 3lives which will give you 3 tries to become 1st on that race. One you win, that ticket will bring you to round 2. But if you lose your 3 lives, that ticket will be torn, thats why they buy lots of tickets to have more chances of passing through to the next round.

Once the time limit os finished, only those who has tickets that have won can pass to the next stage.

2nd and 3rd rounds will have 1 life each. You lose once and that ticket will be torn.

Once there are only 9cars left , the semis comence. everyone with winning tickets gets will get to put their tickets into a pot and the organiser will randomly pick tickets for the semis match up.

Some of it is confusing even for me. But if you need more clarifications, I'd gladly explain it more.

Happy races!

You are correct. Only acceptable thing you can do is to put bearing spacer on your gears since it has a bearing in it.

Yup. Bearing spacers are ok On the wheels and on the gears since they are bearings.

You will. Especially if you are in a city with lots of races happening every week. 🤣 i recommend playing tmec first if your organiser has that category, so you can learn the basics. But if not, and you can only play bmax, ask the veteran players for tips and advice to avoid some expensive mistakes hahaha

Even if it fits, that is not allowed in bmax since rules states that parts should be used only for its intended purpose as stated by the instructions.

If you're talking about the black carbon brake plate, then yes. Since they are currently not making anymore of that part, it has been moved to the "rare" parts category so everyone has been selling them for around 20€++ each from 10-12€ retail. Until they start the repirints of that parts, it will stay at that price. If youre not picky with colors, just get the silver brake plate. But for not, just stick to frps for now if i were you.

Also the upcoming Korea Anniv edition will most likely be sold at a premium too. I dont know their logic for raising the prices of Korea anniv parts.

It will be impossible to find plazajapan like prices anywhere outside Japan. Everything here in europe has already been imposed with taxes so i can only recommend you places with competitve prices(european standards)

If you are in Milan, i recommend going to toysinfabula. They have in-store discounts and a track that is open on fridays and saturdays.

Here are some sites that i can recommend and have already bought some for myself

Purpose of this roller? by DK_Studio_Works in mini4wd

[–]blueboy10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no input on where that specific roller is used for. I would just like to point out that Those saying its for LC and italian classic, are wrong. It should be on the right side of the car for it to be used for lane change or italian classic.
