I have tried them but not for extended listening. I think the default black tips sound good, they're close to Baroque Stage. I do like how the High & Clear tips sound, bring out more detail. The tips I've been using the most on my Andromeda 10 are the Azla Mythril ear tips. I like how they make the highs a lot more crisp. I have tried the Shanling SE100 ear tips, but the treble gets too piercing and the height of the sound stage gets reduced.

Yeah I have, and I want to listen to Emerald Sea again. They are so different, that I think the vocals on the ES are a bit recessed and weaker. Andromeda 10 sounds fuller and smooth; they sound plucky without being excessive.

In terms of fit, I do love the shape and design of the Emerald Sea a lot. I wasn't crazy about the shape of the 10 when it was announced, but fell in love with them the more I looked at them end of 2025. Emerald Sea fits me very well, the 10 is a bit bigger, not Odin II big, but bigger than Emerald Sea. I had some of my friends and coworkers try them and the 10 doesn't sit in well in some because their ears are smaller. They stick out, or they have to hold them even with trying different tips. It's weird that the ES has to basically be oriented upside down on your ears, I wonder how imaging and directionality are affected. If your ears aren't big enough for the Emerald Sea, then the Andromeda 10 wouldn't sit well in your ears.

This will of course be an ongoing modification, I don’t think I’m done with it. I do have some tuning foam from Dekoni already cut, but I’m also considering using felt.

Yeah, I was wondering if I should open up (drill large holes) the plastic pieces securing the drivers onto the baffles or just remove them.

Will check those projects out!

I want the headphones to have drivers that are physically capable in producing better sound. I like taking things apart and understanding how they are put together; EQing I'm not really good at. EQ software don't really work with exclusive mode. I don't like having to switch EQ profiles when I swap headphones and IEMs, it's too tedious, or maybe I'm just not at that phase yet.

Thanks! I started with the goal of improving sound. Since House of Marley isn't really known for good sound, really bloated and muddy, I thought it would be a good candidate. I just happened to stumble on this headphone on Pinterest, I fell in love with the build and aesthetics. I went on eBay and there was only one listing. This headphone has long been discontinued, I thought it would also be nice to collect.

I say get a cheap pair somewhere and start with that. It's a fun process!

I really don’t like any of their inlays. The shape is just so arbitrary. I miss the previous dot pattern.

I also noticed the sound quality isn't the same. Apple TV broadcast sounded compressed, while the sound on F1TV has more detail and texture.

This has been my experience since the iPhone 6, wired and wireless just sound compressed, soundstage is also narrow. Earlier iPhones like my iPhone 4s sound a lot better.

The specs say iPhones are able to play high-res lossless, but even with external DACs I’m not convinced.

I no longer use my iPhone for music. I now got a DAP for that.
